Stem plants arent really my favorite because you can only trim so much before you have to uproot them to discard the bottem stem and replant the top ones.

@yashtapase3821 it's definitely not the hardest to grow. Many make too many rules on how it should be grown and lead people not to try it or lead them to do the wrong things trying to grow it. It's not too difficult if you plant deeply and trim often. Everything else is basics

Hi Jordan... Have you faced cyanobacteria on the river sand ... If so how did you tackle it... Mine is a non CO2 setup with river sand.. for the first 3 weeks, the glass always got GSA, GDA and diatoms, but that is very very minimal now .... But the formation of Cyanobacteria is still persistent on the river sand... Any suggestions

I have some Lily Pipes (Regular glass ones) with the skimmer on the inflow, and the skimmer is always boobing and i have to reduce flow in the filter to use it correctly (this is not the best way as the flow was estimated to be in full). Can you use the maximum flow of the filter with the skimmer on the outflow? Or do you still need to reduce flow to make the skimmer work correctly?

What if your tank is low tech planted. Wouldn’t that deplete the little bit of naturally occurring C02 from the water?
@JordanStirrat
@JordanStirrat 7 ай бұрын
Although there may be extremely small amounts of co2 in your tap water, this is depleted very quickly after your water change, so it's misconception that a non co2 closed system has levels of beneficial co2

Hi, i was inspired by your tank and started a full UG tank, unfortunately after 1 year im still strugging to get the carpet. Its always grows in chunks and after a while it floats away and then realized that the roots are just one small patch. How do you get it to spread? I planted many small patches and it just grew to become large patches. My light is Chihiros WRGB2 8 hours a day at 100 percent. No fertilizer dosing. Please advise, im almost giving up.
@JordanStirrat
@JordanStirrat 8 ай бұрын
It just takes time and patience. Keep trimming it shorter helps I think. I would say it will do fine with lean nutrition and fine with strong nutrition, and I have tried both which seem to work. I would add fertiliser, though, and not be afraid of it. Planting deeply helps and avoiding adding livestock that rips it up at the start

Remote controle with this light is not practicle. However, if you have a bit of electrical know-how, you can use a generic RGB controller with this light. RGB controllers work with the FROK app as well. And it makes it more practicle. You can program it to immitate day cycles.
