Yep! 👍 I'm from the backwoods of Eastern Kentucky.. I've seen people eat it with buttermilk, just like you are, but I've also seen it eaten with just regular milk. I prefer the regular milk myself. But I use buttermilk in my ingredients for the cornbread. I also use it for other things that I cook. 🙂🙃

I remember reading about grits in The Secret Life of Bees...they used to make kuds kneel on them as a punishment. Classic southern discipline. 😅
