I was out there shortly after that in mid-June. Enjoyed the trails and great sights, but didn't do much of any filming at the time as I wasn't thinking about doing the KZbin thing yet. I'll for sure have to get out there again. Off the trails, though, I didn't enjoy how crowed it was...at least that time of year...

Sophie and I were out there this last June. Been over a decade for me. I think our favorite trail is the Woodland Trail because of the scenic view of the lake valley as a payoff. Loved the trails, but very disappointed with how crowded it has become :(
@OutdoorseyAdventures10 ай бұрын
So true about the crowds…I agree about the Woodlands trail it’s a great hike but my all time favorite is Pecan Flats in the spring!
Great to see another newbie to the scene covering Texas hiking and camping! Welcome to the community! Hopefully we'll see you out on the trails someday!

Instead of a date for title I would keep using where you went as a title. It helps the KZbin algorithm when pushing your content. Since you started hiking so much, have you noticed more energy or wanting to do it more? Thanks!

@MrSTravelQuest Yes! I did explore the Fort Davis. It is a great gem in West Texas. I also drove all the way around Hwy 16 to Hwy 118 back to the State Park. That was a beautiful drive, I discovered a great hiking trail just west of the park about 10 miles called Madera Canyon Trail. Have you heard of it?
