Fantastic stuff, Warren! You have exactly the right people accompanying you too! (I've gigged with both of them) - really great sound!👏👏👏👍

Sadly The Lord Napier closed in about 2017 and was demolished to make way for some flats. I used to go there in 1986, 1987 and 1988. I can remember hearing Bill Brunskill play. There is very little trad jazz being played now, all the musicians have died out I guess. Younger generations don't know any jazz.

Two things Lonnie Donegan should have a statue in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the huge number of Rock icons who site him as an influence. Mark Knopfler is the most underrated guitarist of all time the guy is a genius

I have the same pedal for the same purpose, as a Blues Musician the ''Deluxe Reverb'' sound are the classic of the classics!! Very versatile and easy to play, for me this pedal sound more ''real'' than the UAFX Dream 65' that have the ''pro tools'' sound.

Thanks for posting that and nice playing! Not enough clean reviews out there on these amp simulators. You mentioned that you don’t use a compressor pedal anymore, but I have found *all* of these amp sim pedals, including this one, have a fairly significant compressed sound built in, compared to how a real amp sounds when you’re standing in front of it. I think they do it on purpose because really what they’re simulating is the sound of a mic’d-up amp, and no-doubt the mic feed and downstream signal chain usually has some compression applied on it before it comes out the PA or ends up in a recording/mix. So I don’t think it’s so much a lack of compression being out of fashion in the UK as much as it is all the signal chains these days have it all built in. Anyway, thanks again for posting that. Take care.

He did sound as though he had a clothes peg on his nose when he sang. This may well have resulted from the fusion of his original Glaswegian brogue with his attempts to sound cockney after he was uprooted to East Ham.
