Good video Bobby. The guns are looking good. Would be curious to hear what you do in the gym to promote strength and flexibility in the golf swing. As hard as I try, I can't get my shoulders to grow as large as yours. I'm a 52yr old make BTW.

@@TerdFerguson thank you for that. I created a fitness program specific for golf that is equal parts weightlifting and stretching. I created 120 follow along workouts that are all on my member site. You can check it out for free for 7 days, no credit card or anything required. Bobbysteiner.com If you do so, just click on the fitness page and go to Peak Performance workouts, and shoulder days are workouts 4, 9, 14, and 19, and you can workout for a week along with me!

So this guy writes try to make everything ? Phil Mickelson once said in all his years in golf he has never seen an amateur line up correctly to a putt. Therefore he had to hit it off his line to make it! I’m Not sure about that but pace wins the race. If you ever saw a pros putter face , 100 percent of the wear is on the sweet spot . It’s quite uncanny really but true! A scratch golfer. Doesn’t have that wear on the face I’m Sure
@bobbysteinergolfАй бұрын
That's right. And, most will never practice enough to show wear any place on their putter face, let alone the sweet spot. The tour player is to the scratch player what a scratch player is to a 12 hdcp, at least in my opinion.

Got to have both to get in the hole. You can lock in the blade angle but the distance is harder to get right.
@bobbysteinergolfАй бұрын
You got that right, for sure. You need both to get it in, but typically only need distance to sew up a two-putt.
@chaseross5573Ай бұрын
I don’t get what swaying means, is this not swaying?
@bobbysteinergolfАй бұрын
Chase, good question. In teaching circles a sway is generally thought of as a backswing issue in which the right hip and head "sway" to the right during the backswing. It leaves the player with the job of trying to get back before impact, and usually, with inconsistent success. To roll in on the ankles shouldn't lead to a sway. Here is the complete video, I think it provides a more complete idea of good foot action: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJPVap6Ymb5nrtU
@garyvale8347Ай бұрын
I totally agree with your philosophy of getting the distance correct.....anytime I am within a 4' diameter circle , from 30' or more away, I am happy with my putting ...now if I could just make all my 4' putts, I 'd be ecstatic !!! lol.....thanks much
@bobbysteinergolfАй бұрын
Gary, you just nailed the whole thing right there. Get all your long putts within 4 feet, and make everything from there.
@Boxgolf101Ай бұрын
Proper leg action is what got me from beginner to intermediate. Now that I know the proper pressure shift I don’t need to exaggerate the knee flexion as much. I can stay centered over the ball now.

Why is fudging numbers so common in golf ? It is competitiveness ? Or is that feeling of “what I should’ve got “ that’s so prevalent? A combination?
@bobbysteinergolfАй бұрын
You ask a really good question. I've always thought most of us are guided by one of three philosophies. 1. What's yours is mine and I'm going to take it. 2. What's mine is mine and I'm going to keep it. 3. What's mine is yours and I'm going to share it. The prisons and streets with the lonely walks are filled with people guided by #1. Some are at large and can be found on the golf course.

I have no idea how to move weight though. Am I pushing off back foot? I can’t get any weight forward in transition. I feel very tight and loaded on back swing. What is the move or feel to get my weight forward?
@bobbysteinergolfАй бұрын
@@bj146651 in 95 or so percent of golfers, when the weight simply won’t shift no matter how hard a person tries, it stems from one of two problems. 1) Either the golfer has moved too much weight to the right side during the backswing (which leaves them unable to shift left before impact), or 2) the person has a blur of a backswing with no pause at the top so the club gets back to the ball .7 seconds or less after the initial takeaway. This, too, leaves the golfer unable to shift before impact. Imagine skipping a rock on a pond. You would tilt over, just like in a golf swing, and then you’d patiently shift and sling the rock side arm. I’m not sure you would necessarily think of pushing off the right leg, or loading the left leg, but you would undoubtedly shift, and you’d shift in a very unhurried way. The weight shift in a good golf swing should feel nearly the same. I hope that helps you. It’s hard to nail down the definitive cure without seeing you.
