Sjorvaldar Vikings are a California based 501.(c)3 non-profit organization that’s primary focus is dedicated to enriching the educational experience through immersive living history. Sjorvaldar was founded with a shared interest and passion for the history, crafts, battle elements of all things Scandinavian, with the intention and commitment to share it with the public with as much authenticity as possible.
Members aim to depict a mobile, seasonal camp/temporary village complete with living quarters, work spaces, and recreational areas. The village not only showcases the lifestyle and culture of the period, but also the harsher and battle ready aspects of life in what was was know as the Viking age, specifically the 10th century.
