Okay I’m hacking WGU currently. Doing the bachelors in science that has all the prerequisites for the accelerated bsn at my local state school. So I’ll finish my bachelors in science then go to the 13 month bsn program near me so I can build some connections locally and technically graduate from a state university!

I’m currently in my first term at WGU. I reached out to a school and was told they do no accept any competency based programs even if I retake the science core classes. Did you check with schools ahead of time or just apply? Thanks for the content!

How was your BSN GPA calculated? Did they strictly use the 3.0 from WGU or did they include the required prerequisites for admission to the program like Microbiology, human anatomy? I also have chemistry courses from before WGU that would make my science GPA competitive, but im not sure how much those would change my cumulative. I guess that could be program dependent. Maybe I'm overthinking this, but I've wanted this since before nursing school, but when I chose WGU I pushed it into the back of my mind because I wasn't sure what else to do.

Great presentation. Didn't see much of an epi gtt - unless we were coding someone and went through the entire code cart stock! Oh boy, you'll see a lot more gtts. For example, in my 20 years in the ICU I've only had one patient started on an Aminophylline gtt. I knew what it was for but never dealt with a gtt before! It also baffled the pharmacist who had to mix it! She hadn't seen it used in a long time.

What is your advice with studying the anatomy? Any good or books? I haven't been in school in a while. I really want to apply for the nursing program but, the anatomy part is what's scaring me the most. I have been through a phlebotomy program. I passed my national exam. I'm terrified of the anatomy part. I had a really cool teacher and my classes were old women. She took things really slow. I really want to try WGU. I would be aware of not having someone to tutor with. Is there Meetup virtual groups you can do? And I'm worried about the admissions exam. I use to be good at algebra in high school, my math sucks in age. Is there a site I can go to; that can prepare me for the exam?
