The bad part is the LCD display board which stated in the video

@@OneSfixdidn’t know that it was no longer available. How difficult is it to open the keyboard and remove it? I’m thinking if the screws are removed on the bottom it should be that simple but I’m sure it’s not 😂

@@williamhoffman1956 it requires micro soldering. You will have to pinpoint the bad circuit and then repair it. This will be a level 10 job. It is easy to remove the board. If you have patience. It’s s a level 10 job to repair that panel board.

Hello, so the issue was resolved by unplugging the ribbon cable and plugging it back in? Just wondering because I am having the same issue with a Yamaha es7.

Hello no sir I wish it was that simple. The display board needs to be repaired which sits under the LCD display. That’s what I had to do. I knew it was a quick video, but I had to repair the board.

If you have the 2TB version, be warned to make many backups. My Samsung SATA SSD 2TB EVO 870 failed after 6 months and they refused to repair it even that I had 5 years warranty. So... just saying.

Hey thanks for the video ! I just replaced the superknob on my montage. I didn't know about your video before! Now when I use the new superknob, it doesn't work correctly ! Do you think i burned the board panel?.. (i didn't use any "flux"..)

Hey, it’s very possible that the copper pads are damaged however that’s something that can be fixed. I had a customer who tried to do it themselves and they completely removed the copper pads altogether and I was able to repair it for them. when you turn superknob is it engaging?

@@OneSfix thx for the reply ! Yeah it is engaging but only till the middle or most of the time till the half, then the red light moves back from the start. How can it be fixed ? I do not remember to have damaging any circuit..

It could possibly be a bad potentiometer. I will need to take a look at it. Would you be able to take a picture as well?
