👏Say👏this👏louder! This has been my favorite episode of the podcast so far! Our ability to read, impacts our ability to write, which impacts our ability to organize and communicate our feelings and ideas when we speak. At SPC I work closely with students and community members preparing for and earning industry certifications. Those who struggle to get certified, fundamentally, are often struggling silently with reading, and reading comprehension. In my opinion, this is the single greatest stumbling block that prevents individuals from paving a path to a better future for themselves and sustaining it. Let's continue this conversation, and other hurdles facing our TITANS won't be as tough to tackle. Thank you Dr. Williams and former Speaker Sprowls for having this open and honest conversation.

I think you are probably a good person but telling someone who may be having a bad day and is in a bad mood, "so what" is kind of cruel, in my opinion.

What about you showing some compassion towards the guy on the plane? Would that not be a positive response to someone who is very sad? Are you so limited in your possible reactions?

Prager is a stupid blowhard. I really don't like speaking that way but someone needs to wake him up!!
@1woodworker4all

Prager, have you ever listened to yourself telling people that if they feel "moody" they are a problem for others. Why not invite the "moody" to talk about what's bothering them or maybe have empathy for them? Maybe suggest that the person see a therapist if they are really feeling down?
@1woodworker4all

Are people who are sad, maybe even seriously depressed not acting morally? I don't think so. I think they are doing the best they can at that time. I've heard Prager before and I think he needs to practice a lot of understanding toward real-life fellow human beings

Setting apart the past and the present. Standing in the Gap has a graceful sense of purpose, I am grateful for where I am now than where I know I could not have been without SPC.

Her parent’s behavior was not only cruel but grotesque. They went to the media, they took a private matter and made Terry into an international spectacle. You can read her autopsy. All her parents did was fight to keep her soul trapped inside her body for over a decade. How many second opinions do you need to finally accept the enviable. The choice was her husband’s, not her parents. Her husband fought for what Terry wanted. Her parents fought for what they wanted. I pray her soul was greeted by Christ and welcomed into heaven. Especially, after all of the abuse her body suffered at the hands of prideful, selfish parents.

I had an opportunity to be introduced to Angel Torres recently! He's most certainly going into the right industry, public policy, and is poised to change lives with all he does now and in the future. Good luck, Angel.
