I went light on critique because this watch is reviewed countless times, it's an icon by now, you can easily find it for very low prices, no matter which country you live in and it's become a staple in pretty much every collection and probably one of the best starter GADA watches

I have had it for about 3 months now and been wearing it as part of the rotation at least once every week and the plating at the buckle (and everywhere else) is like new. Granted, it's not my daily watch and it's still a bit early to say but it looks really well done and that it will hold up for a long time.

it is very close. Obviously the finishing and material are a whole different thing but in terms of shape and size it's 90% the same

The case is 316L steel and the color is just painted. It is very cheap to be a solid brass watch.

thank you for the kind words. Indeed it's unbelievable how much value these watches pack for such a low price. I've had this one for years and it's been extremely reliable. Have taken it swimming, hiking and other outdoor activities and it's still in great condition and ticking away without any issues :)

The 120813 white dial one is a great looking watch for sure! These Vostoks pack so much value for the price, it's crazy! They are excellent everyday watches :)

You are correct. The other versions are definitely deviating from the original design, you get a bit more contemporary spins. If you want to stick as close to the original as possible the black and cream versions are the best and that's why I opted for the cream one (have way too many black dial watches, haha).

It's a great watch, especially if you like the vintage aesthetic and design. The proportions are also spot on and fits all wrists sizes really well. Glad you found the review useful, enjoy the watch!

Hi there, I've had it for about a month now and it's perfectly fine, the plating looks like new. That being said a month is not a long time so I really can't say how well it will hold up long term. For what it's worth, the watch looks amazing and if I were to pick one now, I would still go with the gold version; it's more vintage. That being said the silver stainless steel ones are also gorgeous.

The silver version is great, and I was ready to buy the salmon dial one but once this one came out, it was a clear winner for me! The gold case looks so good with the retro design.

I don't think anyone or at least the vast majority of people who buy homage watches are pretending it's the real deal. Most people buy homage watches because they genuinely enjoy the design and want to wear it regardless of the logo on the dial. I also know people who can afford the "original" expensive brand and they buy a homage first to see how it actually feels wearing it and if they will end up liking it before committing that amount of money. Since the first days of retail there's been "homage" versions of everything, from clothes to electronics. At the end of the day, in my humble opinion, wear whatever you want and enjoy it 😬that's the whole point.

Sorry to hear that. Aliexpress is a huge marketplace. Shipping to the US takes a bit of time and depending on the store you chose shipping times can take up to 2-4 weeks. I have bought tens of watches and items from Aliexpress and never had any issue. If your watch doesn't arrive after 20 or so days you can raise a case on Aliexpress and they will refund you, don't worry.

I know I absolutely love them. They have bring a unique charm and character to the table that I think modern watches don't really achieve to the same dedree. Also, for someone like me who has smaller wrists, the compact dimensions of vintage models fare a lot better :)

not a huge fan then? Fair enough, vintage watches can be a bit of a hassle to own but they also offer something unique I think that modern watches don't necessarily do.

That's my thinking as well! But we all know how awkward they do all those English translations. Still, I'm very happy with this brand name, it doesn't look ridiculous :)
