For all we know, that so-called "Old FFFF" could've been Phoenix himself, using a different TACname at the time; he was highly skilled obviously and don't forget that scare on his cheek (there's a reason why his callsign was Scarface 1 and probably why the old unit squadron was called Scarface as well).

There is no way Mihaly killed Phoenix or Mobius 1 by the events of 7. For several reasons: For starters, Mihaly was already out of his prime by the events of 2 while Phoenix has already taken down-- in the game's words-- *the most powerful ace squadron in all of USEA,* being Albireo. The man was such a menace that Operation Fighter's Honor, for all its frightening success, was brutally simple in its nature: Hire Phoenix. Second, Erusea still owes Phoenix for bailing them out when Albireo turned tail against them during the 1998 rebellion as well as saving them from getting blasted to oblivion by the Sky Fortress in 1995. Plus, he's very thorough in how he annihilates shit to the point where Fortress Intolerance was permanently destroyed and Belka's Zone of Endless project was held back by two decades because he blew up most of the fighters, including the Falken. They do him dirty and they'll know firsthand how it's like to be the rebellion. Third, how in the world is Mihaly-- whose body almost folds from Over G's-- going to take down someone who _dodges missiles by barrel rolling?_ Not even the other protagonists are batshit enough to do that. Hell, Phoenix likely had more combat experience *in his late teenage years alone* than Mihaly did in his whole career, if his aircraft lore in _Infinity_ was any indication. Lastly, they tried to kill Phoenix with everything: superweapons, ace squadrons, dirty tactics, war crimes, goddamn nukes, and he still came out on top. The likely scenario is that Mihaly faces him and gets a firsthand experience as to why Phoenix became an ultimate superboss twice and even outranked Gryphus 1, Talisman, Blaze, Mobius 1 and even Cipher in _Joint Assault._

I always considered Scarface's canon plane to be the XFA-27 given that's what's normally used to reference him outside of Air Combat and AC2.

The Plot of this game doesn't make sense. The Northern Nations (including Erusea) are opposed to a treaty with Osea. The Usean Rebels are opposed to a treaty with Osea. At 0:38 the Usean Rebels seem to be attacking everyone, including the Northern Nations By all rights shouldn't the Rebels and the North be on the same side?

No, because the UAF was an alliance featuring all of the nations in Usea, St. Ark is in the north but the UAF base was trying to contact them when they found out about the coup

Well the Northern Nations failed to prevent the treaty from happening, so the Rebels probably decided that the Northern Nations are too weak and powerless to actually defend Usean interests

Nice ass intro Graphics for 3DS especially the Geographic part which infinity Was inspired by ? Plus this handheld has more Useful features than 07 anyway with its Color Customizations, Replay Viewer, Switching Planes If retry, and Challenges etc.

It had a bunch of QoL and useful features that PA didn't carry over to 7. Considering 7 does seem to be a bit rushed, with some of its most popular music pieces being added at the last moment, could be chalked up to the game's troubled development. Hopefully AC8 brings them over, because they were great.

@@vincere_ AC3D does have some issues though. For one thing when you come out of a high-g turn you gain a sudden boost of speed, which usually causes you to overshoot the plane you're behind. There's also a consistent issue with stealth in the handheld games, where if you're camera is tracking a stealth craft and it gets behind you, the camera stops tracking it and returns to the default direction. The latter problem makes fighting enemies like the Albireo squadron and Z.O.E. more annoying.

yeah, but I feel that they could have done good by reusing the fast, snappy pace of ACX's physics engine and combining them with the 3DS game's graphics instead of recycling DFM mode from ACAH and the counter maneuver from Sky Crawlers. If Legacy had the more snappy physics of the older games and followed the regular gameplay instead of DFM, I feel it would have been much better.

What do you mean by 'snappy physics'? I admit I've only played Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy and not even one other AC game. Is it easier to turn sharply in Ace Combat games other than AHL?

@@jojepakito324If you want more info of the event, it takes place before the Usean Continental War in Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies. Apparently the Usean nations were trying to remain independent from the rising superpowers of Osea and Yuktobamia. But division occured betwen the Southern nations [who wanted to form an alliance with Osea] and the north-western nations who opposed it. When a treaty for the alliance was about to sign, a group of extremist began a wide-scale coup' de tats on all nations in USEA.
