The first stone was layed in 1888. Thats the same year that many LDS members were in Nebraska for the 'School House Blizzard'. I thought that the split from the regular LDS to the Reorganized LDS was after the School House Blizzard in 1888. ? 🤔

Should be there by Tuesday the 3rd. I'm hoping the families will have all gone back to school by then. Maybe camp at the Canyon Overlook site, or maybe closer to the water, IDK, depends how long Dinasaur National Monument lasts. Might camp there on the CO side near the river. Thanks for this, it helps my trip.

I lived in Hawthorne during the 1950s. The Navy ran the munitions base from the 1930s(?) Into the 1960s. The Navy tested torpedoes in the southern part of Walker Lake. Great place to grow up.

What kind of propaganda is this? The owners of this despicable establishment said they want to ban all Native Americans. One owner was convicted on assault charges when she sprayed several Native American people with a cleaning solution, saying it was “bug spray.” The ownership group is facing a FEDERAL Civil Rights lawsuit for discrimination. The Grand Gateway Hotel should be avoided at all costs and shut down. Shame on you for promoting it! BTW… They also own Foothills Inn, which you featured in another video.
