Love the song, love the boat, and I love my cutter-rigged Tahiti, even though I haven't really sailed her yeyt Very nice to see some build shots; I have actually learned more about how they are put together from this video.

Cleaning out some files and found the plans to "Elver." I purchased them around 1980. Unfortunately, I'm too old to build her now. Oh well, some other lifetime!

Looks like he forgot the bow. Must have used the car from American motors called the Gremlin as an inspiration for the design. But nice workmanship in the build

I remember falling in love with the Elver design when I first saw it, probably in the late 70s or early 80s! You've done a very nice job on her!

Me encanto este velero, estoy por construir uno en mi vejez, y no me decido por el tamño y modelo, pues quiero algo practico que lo pueda llevar y traer cada vez que voy a navegar y asi no pagar amarras. saludos.!!!

Ahoy Ron Weber, and Warmest Heart Full of Aloha from Moloka'i- The 3-meter Interest is Indeed coming back c/o "Air Flow Systems"/ BillGenevro, he has made the statement that He would like to see Many More 3 Meter Concepts, like Seaclipper, with Windsurfing Rigs for Re-configuring Simplicity, Speed, and very User~Friendly, and absolutely Cost-Effective. Genevro San has made a few Experiments/ Trials for apply Foils to his Seaclipper 10 John Marples designs. I/We would like to make Safer and More Efficient Systems for Harnessing Aero~Foil Kite Systems... Bill and I have speculated that We can Keep In~Touch with avid Supporters, and Fan/Friends to the 10 foot Designs, and Resurrect The 3-Meter World~Wide, International'e Society- Are You Game, Let's Huddle and Compare Notes... Keep Pulling THe Apparent. aloha nui

*_I will like to share something with you all. I run a business as a carpenter for different people doing all sorts of things like doors, but I must say building my boat with the help of “my boat plan” gives me such happiness!!! I also have lots [Check Details Here==>_**_plus.google.com/100351090281822647456/posts/9DB7swbbBri_**_ ] of other hobbies but working on the boat gives me a thrill. Thanks to them._*

So I've got this Seaclipper 10 hanging in my pole barn. It was started in a Community Ed class many years ago (you were the instructor). It has survived a collapsed roof a couple years ago, and the hull and pontoons are mostly done (restored) I recently retired and would like to finish the boat for use up at the cabin. I'm wondering if any of my windsurfing masts and or sails could be used to power the boat and what adaptations would be necessary. I've see you tube videos of this and it looks like allot of FUN ! I really want to get this project in the water. It's a dream overdue....

Looks like a nice boat. But why is this not built to the plans? The solid akas would make trailering impossible. And the open cockpit would have been a big plus, no?

Fell in love with this one when I saw the article in "Mechanix Illustrated" so many years ago. Even sent away for the plans, still have them and look at them every once in a while and let my mind wander (and wonder) about what might have been if my life hadn't taken a severe turn shortly after. I only ever saw one in real life, and she was docked in the Inner Harbour in Victoria, B.C.,, but it confirmed what I had thought about her. I even talked to the owner/builder, and complimented him on the beautiful job he'd done on her, but unfortunately that was the only beautiful thing about him. His personality didn't come anywhere near that of his boat. I hope that you have many wonderful memories, and can continue to make more in the future.
