It was more DiZ and some of Ansem's whispers, but it was shown he still had enough agency to decide how to approach things. But his obessession (no, not love, back then, that could only be called obessession) spoke louder.

Xehanort is the catalyst behind everything wrong with the KH universe (until we get more context about MoM). In a sense the only reason Roxas exists to begin with is due to Xehanort unleashing darkness on the land, which inevitably lead to Sora temporary losing his heart. On top of that, if org 13 didn't exist and fuck around with Soras memories, Roxas and Sora wouldve been able to exist simultaneously, and thus there wouldve been no need for Roxas to sacrifice himself. However, that does not absolve Riku or Ansem the wise from blame, as Ansem was clearly doing things for the wrong reasons, and Riku at this point shouldve known better than to try to take Roxas by force. Riku also should've known that Sora would never want him to sacrifice Roxas for his sake.

Thing is, this second chance they got came randomly, by chance. It could have failed. It's important not to let others dictate your story, much like humans with Mother Nature, to show your worth to both yourself and others. To bend the world to change parameters. Roxas's anger is important. It shows there are decisions, consequences, and the need to mess with them. That's why I don't see the full point of all this...forgiveness around. Because I know the world has a tendency for loops, and I know a similar situation to theirs will happen again someday. Therefore, for making them soft and unprepared, it's the wrong decision to forgive so easily.

And yes, shortcuts don't always work out. There should be a set of rules for when to take them (I wished I could say you shouldn't take them at all, but that requires some shutting off on your heart, and even I recognize the flaw in that logic).

@IwakuraYumeko7 Roxas is angry because he cares. I'm not saying he shouldn't be upset (he's allowed to), but should he really waste his entire life being angry? If he never forgives Riku, that's up to him, but he should let that hold him back from living. And yes, history does love to repeat itself, but the outcome doesn't always stay the same because we do learn from our past, even if it doesn't sink in at first.

@@wolfishluppa hate to be that guy, but it's "shouldn't". Anywho, no, I'm just afraid the wrong mindset prevails again. And I just know that in the future, somehow, those mindsets will prevail, because DiZ and his apprentices put this huge negative light over heart research.

I hope there's a fight. Roxas always respected strength above many things. And some brawls are good to let the tension out. If only he had them against DiZ too...

I wish Roxas couldve talked to Sora in the realm of sleep in KH3. Wouldve been the perfect opportunity to give him screen time while also holding Roxas as the key to Sora learning the power of waking.

Most "KH" fans, not to mention the characters themselves. And most of Disney cast, let's be honest. Disgusting.

​@IwakuraYumeko7 yeah it's kind of wild how all of these characters just woke up and were chill with each other right off the bat. Characters like Sora and Roxas had multiple games worth of closure, so it makes sense that they grew to be friends. But Roxas and Riku? No Way. Last time Roxas saw Riku he was trying to imprison him in a fake reality so he can end his life. Also the idea that Roxas and Ventus could meet and be completely fine with being identical copies of each other with no context is laughable. Their excuse that Axel magically was able to explain it all to them off screen was also a joke.
