Twellman showed he did little to no research on CitySC prior to the game. And from random comments from SKC fans, i think they felt the same. He's a joke.

You guys are the best. I did not follow the MLS or U.S. soccer until St. Louis City's inaugural year. I have watched pretty much every one of your episodes since early 2023. You have been educational, inspiring, and your passion for City is infectious. Thanks for all. you do.

I take the review well, but it’s one sided. The fact that there were no prominent SGs that supported Leagues Cup is indicative that there was no where else for people to go. There will always be people who don’t agree with you and that’s fine. It’s not anyone’s responsibility to change their minds. The best you can do is convey your beliefs.
@rebsiotАй бұрын
This is the right take. Like 100% You guys have been as good as possible through the whole thing. Everyone did the best they could. Groups represent their people. Express your opinion, don't go judging others. Especially as a group. Affirmatively put your case forward without slighting others. You will find yourself in position of being judged sooner than you think, and everyone has changed their minds or reevaluated a situation. Everyone did the best they could. Groups represent their people. and everyone will have a bad taste for a little bit. The leagues cup is over. It will be in the rearview soon enough. If people are holding grudges in a month, then that speaks to them not everyone else. When the club wins no one is going to shout "you did this during leagues cup". Next home game, grab a beer, forget about it, drink a beverage of your choice, and sing on.

I thought you all did a great job of holding true and still providing some level of discussion. I would have loved more content but I'm always a fan of multiple shows that go way long 😂. You were my go-to for STL City and nothing has changed for me. I just want to make sure you get the positive side too

STL Santos made themselves look so silly. Boycotting for 3 games is actually hilarious, then pulling back on the boycott since we advanced. Clowns

I don't think St. Louis will be good/competitive for a long time. Firing the first coach in franchise history in the middle of the 2nd season seems like something Dan Snyder would do. In other words, St. Louis problems start from the top and crap rolls downhill.

I don't understand this love affair with Thorisson. I mean he has 3 goals in 20+ games. And it's not like they were bangers. One was a deflection, one squeaked through a guy's legs. To me, he just hasn't shown technical quality on the ball. Becher came into the game and immediately was an improvement. I get that we've really had no choice but to play him, due to injuries and the "Sam Affair". But now that we are getting some actual technical players, I think Thor goes back to the bench. In my mind, when Klauss comes back, he's 4th on the depth chart at forward and like 7th on the depth chart at midfield. And when Celio and Ostrak come back he'll drop below them. He's been a good soldier and willing to fill in for our injured starters, but he's not at the level where we want our team to be. And he's taking up an international roster spot. My guess is that he'll be dealt during the off-season, or loaned out.

Love the show, but my dudes....perhaps you should work out your show format prior to turning on the cameras. Just saying. 😊

Durkin is the best defensive midfielder we have, but he has a bad habit of getting too far advanced in the attack. That leaves us vulnerable to the counter. Blom is the same but worse. It's almost like Durkin gets so excited about the attack, and forgets about his role on defense. Don't get me wrong, I really like Durkin. But I'd like to see him focus more on hanging back when we're on the attack. I wonder if that is a Bradley Carnell thing, and will improve under the new coach.

I feel dumb. I’m a casual soccer fan. I got into soccer because of the last World Cup and CITY. I watch all the games. I took the opportunity to go to my first game vs Juarez. Now I hear this. I love the show fellas, this is where I get my CITY news.

Apart from the obvious "who's gonna play striker besides Klauss if we sell Adeniran", my thought at the time was that if Niko was worth up to $4M, Sam was easily worth more than $1M, and we were right to hold out for a better offer

The notion that Nokkvi, a solitary center forward, is to blame for not pressing against three center backs and a goalkeeper, while the rest of the squad sat back, is possibly the worst take I’ve heard from Matt. Clearly it was a tactical decision to have the whole squad drop back. What would be the point of having one player chase the ball around? The entire league has figured out our press. It’s time for a change.

It makes no sense. I'm a casual observer so, it's just an opinion. The team will NEVER be good...with the current management. Instead establishing a culture of stability, resilience, etc they've shown themselves to be impatient. They set the standard - 1.5 years. If the first coach in franchise history couldn't even get two years, no future coach should either. They hired him before the team was even created and they wouldn't even stick with him, why would they give more time to someone they hardly know? Why would a "good" coach come to an organization that seems unstable and impatient? An MLS team at that. They're not Manchester United with a history of winning. If they're going to be firing/hiring coaches basically every season - they're doomed. If they would've at least given him three seasons they could've controlled the narrative if they still wanted to go in a different direction. Instead, they've shown themselves to be unrealistic and impatient. It's MLS, there's no pro-rel, teams will have bad seasons. The important thing, in my opinion, is how you respond. In my opinion, they responded very poorly.
