I am a certified Jodeci fan. I believe all of their great songs, are truly great songs from an arrangment persspective, but this song has been on repeat more than all the other songs of theirs I like, combined! If I was at an age to get married when this was out, I would have hired them to come to my wedding reception and sing to my wife live. that song does something to my song's spirit that happens with few songs.

It's amazing and true what they say, you don't know what you have until it's gone..I think many including myself took this type of music for granted..especially hip hop..where you actually had to be SUPER talented to succeed . The variety that a group like jodeci had is almost flawless..when it's wanting to get married and love that person for life..to "ride and slide" where we all know what they were talking about but it made it seem so right to do and painted a picture in your mind. Why is that creativity gone? Why do I have to keep digging for 90s music for whatever mood I'm feeling whether I'm hyped up to digging someone and need classic r&b? Music is powerful, it's inspirational, it can even change your life and perspective at how you look at things. Nothing I hear today moves me like a jodeci record does , production and vocals, the message being sent. Where you actually feel you're not as different as these artist's. How can I sing or try to sing to my girl " I'm loving you tonight? Wait no I'm fucking you tonight"? Or taking other dudes women to my house from the club? And that's like a fun track ok cool but that's all I hear on the radio when they play an "r&b" track..they sound no different from a rap track from this day and age.. Do I still have to keep pulling out a r kelly "12 play" 10 years from now when I have a girl over? Or just want to relax after a hard long day from work? Smh I guess I won't expect nothing timeless anymore from here on out.
