Does it also block incomming noises? (room echo, etc..) like the S500?

Same problem here! Will have it fixed, but it worries me how should I touch or use my computer now if it broke before out of nothing! Would you use a screen protector? I had in my 2019 mbp and never had any issue, I am considering it for my m3 with the new screen fixed.

I have the Freshwater version of the Split Shots. I like them for the most part as fishing/boating sunglasses, but they dig a bit as they go over my ears (during long days out). I typically wear Holbrook XL (Summer) and Turbine Rotors (Winter).

To get the Max out of your MAX you need to operate it with an AUX cable and eventually an Apple USB-C (Lightning) dongle paired with Tidal's Hi-Res Music. You'll be amazed at the quality difference. Bluetooth connection has only a very limited bitrate of 256 kbps, while with a cable you get 24bit depth and 48khz High-Res music transferred to the box. I was actually blown away how good the speaker is when fed with real good signal. Try it out and compare.

BOSE FLEX : I am a pianist and this instrument is one of the most difficult to sound restitution because of its large spectrum. Honestly, I have tried many many BT speakers including a B&0 p2 that was deceiving. I had to wait so many years to find a good compromise between clear mediums/ treble and bass power. I found JBL flips pleasant for the price but definitely a lack of bass. I had to wait so many years to find MY speaker, the one I will never leave. That’s the Bose FLEX !! At 50% volume you fill a 300 room with sound. At 70-75% you fit a 470 sqft room !! Bass are really present, ok it’s not an acoustimass subwoofer-, but still, you will be amazed by the rich powerful and equilibrated sound coming from this thing with powerful bass, good mediums and crystal clear trebles. If you don’t know which BT speaker buying, there is no hesitation : BUY THE FLEX !! Buy 2 ! So you can pair them and have a good portable sonorisation system you can bring to any indoor parties !! Yes, it won’t probably fit a wedding party but think about any others speakers you have heard, there are all jokes compared to the FLEX ! Trust me, GET A FLEX and if you don’t have the money, you can find an used one in perfect condition (usually Bose owners loves their speakers so they take good care of them) for less than $80 ! I bought mine used, perfect condition for 70€, probably $75 at the time of this post. Guys, buy one just to see the face of your friends when you will power it ! The sound, is better than any other portable BT speakers and even much bigger ones !! And forget Sonos, Cabasse, B&O, B&W, Harman, Marshall or JBL, the Bose Flex is definitely the best one.

Listen them and test them in reality, not from your headphones or phones. Those 2 speakers can be compared with that a1 only by price, not by sound quality and efficiency...)

Have you listened to the LG PL5 and PL7 would you say that That speaker the LG is better or worse than those cuz I have the PL5 which is amazing

I purchased the SoundLink Flex as a PAIR 3 years ago - refused to purchase just one becuase I ALWAYS use a pair: I need my stereo sound. Sorry but... the "stereo separation" you get from 2 drivers less than 3 inches apart just does not cut it for me. I cannot even imagine what the hell some reveiwers talk about when they say "sound stage" in the context of a single bluetooth speaker (especially when many are MONO!). Real sound stage requires two speakers a reasonable distance apart in order to truly be imersive and enjoy. I have been holding out on buying the Max EXACTLY for this reason as well: because Bose officially had not released firmware that supports stereo pairing of the Max (they recently JUST released the feature a week or two ago). Now that they DO support stereo pairing, I am just waiting for the next $299 or $349 promo price on the max and... WILL ABSOLUTELY SNAG A PAIR. So yes, for many people - stereo pairing is essential. I use my 2 SoundLink Flexes all the time in stereo: at the office, on the front porch, in the shop, you name it. I keep them in my laptop bag and they go everywhere my laptop does. Now that Bose has something a bit beefier, I will have a second pair of portable speakers for areas where I require a bit more sound pressure to fill at low-to-moderate levels.
