- Honey, I'll go for a spin with the Snowdog. And then, if I have the time, I might pop into the bar.

Is this the smallest snowdog 7 compact? How does it fare in snow?
@halloweendisplaysnowdogfun90165 жыл бұрын
Given even the compact model is 250 pounds don’t you risk damaging the rear of the sled by going over its back edge with that weight?
@harrymills27702 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing, but I imagine it's a pretty cheap sled, and beating the heck out of it is just part of it. You might buy a new one every season, faik. It seems counter-intuitive not to use the front of the sled to get the tractor loaded onto the sled, but that rear wall keeps it from sliding back out, once you're over it. Still, you're right about that being a point of failure from wear and tear. But is it really 250 lbs? It sounds like a lawnmower engine. Maybe the drive train for the track weighs a lot more than I think. I sort of feel the same way about power boats. As long as it has enough power to get where I want to go, it doesn't have to go very fast, so unless it's Hell's Canyon or something like that, it doesn't need that much horsepower. Our notion of a snow machine is a Polaris or Ski-Doo that can go 60 or 70 miles an hour on the flat, when really, all most of us really need or want is something motorized that can cover distance on the snow or water. Back in the days I hung out with farm kids, snowmobiles were definitely a sport, but after I became a man I thought of them as tools, and I just wanted to be able to get to camp when the roads were snowed-in, or haul my ice-fishing gear to the lake.

No not really but the main key was affordability and something that is fun, safe, while still being able to do work and play with.
@A-Z__1243 жыл бұрын
The only advantage to this is, the boggie wheel suspension. Boggie wheels do not require any snow. All other skid frame designs require snow to cool and lubricate the high fax.
