What are the lyrics to this song. Such a beautiful song Dean sang. Sad but am very interested in knowing the full lyrics. It’s just one of those songs I would like played at my funeral. I cried the whole way through after I heard it. If anyone could share I would be grateful

Love you, man, not ashamed to say it. Great voice, great sound, great times. Sure you loved them too. Bless you forever. The lyrics "I'm leaving but there ain't no place to go" have such a deep sadness about them. No one has ever come near!

Beautiful song. Great singer. Too bad he wasn't promoted much better. Glad I found him all these years later.

Crikey.... this has just reminded me that I have this album, comprising 6 solo compositions and one composition with Terry Sylvester (Hollies)..…

I wonder if Bob Dylan and other singers would have thought if they had heard their "Chauffeur" sing what they would have thought? I'm thinking that it would have blown them completely away, to say the least. I think that his life would have been totally different, and we could have had so many years to enjoy his incredible talent...

Découvert récemment grâce à Internet. Je suis tombé sous le charme. C'est beau ! En 1975 j'avais 10 ans. Quand on a été imprégné de la musique d'une époque, cette musique plaît toujours même 50 ans plus tard.

Never heard this before, but the combination of voice and video made me cry. Dean wasn't really promoted well in England, but You Tube are making up for that now, selecting new podcasts daily. I'm being introduced to his brilliant talent 2 years after he died. I hope his loved ones are aware of that and realise he's being appreciated by a new audience.

You’re correct that the promotion down in England wasn’t strong but Dean was well respected in Scotland. 🏴He, and Junior Campbell’s “Reflections of my Life”, recorded by the original Marmalade was a world class hit which is a classic in 2023. This is also a gem 💎
