I was scouted many times, I guess bc I’m tall. Eventually I agreed to give it a go and signed to up an agency but I didn’t have the confidence for it. I had a troubled childhood and it took its toll. I did a couple of jobs but I kept turning them down, my biggest regret was not showing up for a front cover. I literally had a melt down on the day and feigned illness which I’d done twice before for other jobs. My agent ended up telling me the door was open but I needed to commit and I never went back. I don’t regret not sticking it out bc I just wasn’t cut out for it but all these years later, now that I’m older, I sure wish I had the front cover to look back on. These ladies exude confidence. Not sure what the industry is like now but back in 87 when I was 17, it was a real bitchy environment, at least that was my experience.

Being a true model is more than just a perfect face but style and wearing clothes, hair and fashion that is fashion forward and often times fresh and cutting edge. My mom was a hairdresser eons ago and that haircut Linda wears fabalously was fashion and not just everyday wear. The others just look like pretty women but not an exciting model that can sell the new trend.

@asturiasceltic3183 most models don't look like models when working. Linda looked like she had just got off a job. Christy looked like she just got up, and still looked STUNNING. I worked at VOGUE in the '90's, and know ghe difference.

@@arcoftriumphuk9390 Christy looks like she was gardening and Linda looks like she stepped out of Vogue.She will wake up the next day and still have that cutting edge haircut and color that looks great on her. Something that Vidal Sassoon would teach on how to cut their hair like that. Linda sells to everyone who are not in the fashion industry. She's got that something. A model's model that even John Casablancas said Linda was the best model he has ever worked with. Modeling is more than just physical beauty but selling an image, clothes, hair styles and fashion and bringing what is fresh, unique and new and making it exciting, which Linda does. Linda has style. She sets trends ...the others are so everyday.
