For some reason 2 days ago my game started doing a very weird thing, once i get moving my steering basically doesnt work. It is as if the faster i go the less steering the driver actually puts in. For example, when i am stationary i can turn my wheel fully and the wheel in game turns fully too but when i get moving at even 50kph i full lock my steering wheel and the wheel in game barely moves 2 or 3 degrees which means it is completely unplayable. I searched countless settings but i cant find a way to fix this... any ideas? I can turn my actual wheel just fine its just that when i am moving in game the driver puts less and less input the faster i go to the point where i cant steer at all at anything over 40kph.

Weird one. Why type of car are you driving and what type of wheel do you have. I guess it's obvious but when trying to isolate an issue try with a vanilla AC installation. Mod content and Content Manager adds extra complexity when trying to figure out what might be wrong. So try with vanilla game and only cars developed by Kunos. Also don't adjust any wheel settings in Windows while the game is already running. And check how the wheel is connected to the PC. Via USB hub can be an issue also USB 2 vs 3 can also affect peripheral use. I am not sure what your issue is but something isn't right. Might also be in your driving session settings. I honestly don't know.

@@DavyJonesSimRacing I tried vanilla and modded, the problem remained in all, in the end a clean install fixed it and had to do with the filter setting. In general ac does not even explain what filter and gamma is and many others so playing with them is the only way to know.

Great video. I got myself a T300rs on June last year and have been playing GT7 and F1. I´ve been facing two issues: one is the FFB geting week, it feels like I lost grip, I have to put the FFB really low, almost unnouticable to make it run withou any other overheat problem. The second problem started a few weeks ago, after a few minutes of playing the engine starts to do a loud and weid noise. I turn off my game everytime this happens and it´s so annyoing. I will try to contact the support team but honestly I don´t want a new one, I would like to get a refund cause I´m so dissapointed with this wheel. I had a Logitech G27 back in the past and never had any problem.

Can we use clutch without a h shifter. I have a logitech g29 but do not have the shifter so can l use the clutch with the paddle shifters?

Yes I think so. A clutch axis will work if the car supports it.

It depends. Many race cars still have a clutch, even those with sequential shifters. Unless you want to engage the clutch before staring or something if you're not using a H-pattern what is the point though?

@livvychennell4460 make sure that Windows can see the controller device first. And in AC select wheel/pedals configuration not gamepad. If your inputs are being detected by AC then the configurator should work.

Depends on controller type you are using. Try another USB port or if you are using a USB hub try connecting directly to the PC instead. Or might be some other issue.

If it's a USB device and if Windows can recognize it and you can configure the controls in the game then it should in theory work. AC can be a bit weird when it comes to devices though. I would Google search your device name + Assetto Corsa to see has anyone else got it working.

@user-ri6ds9if9w try windowed versus full screen mode and if you are running content manager or mod cars and tracks remove those as well. Always try and get the game running using only content from Kunos. If it's not that it's some other issue I suppose

Hi, you mean updated for Windows 11 or what exactly since the base game of AC has not changed. Windows 11 options are basically the same anyway. I must have another look at some point since it seems people still experience issues. My gaming PC is still running Windows 10 though...

What wheel and pedals are you running? A manually shifted car should by default use those controls if you have those enabled for the session.

When I go into controls, the configuration wizard doesn't highlight. I've tried the MODE, nothing. Tried Pressing SHARED & OPTIONS, nothing... Unplugged it and tried all again... Thanks for the video. FYI: After permanently setting the IP-address you got from the router DHCP (as you did in the video) you will eventually get an IP-addresses conflict once this address will be assigned to the other device on your network by DHCP (that does not know about you assigned this address to the server manually). Check on the DHCP settings, reduce the number of ports in the DHCP pool if necessary, and then assign to your server an address that is not in the DHCP pool. There is a few other methods to do this right way but this one is the most simple for average PC user.
