60년대 70년대만해도 우리나라 대중음악에는 쉽게 이탈리아노래 프랑스 샹송 스페인노래도 들을 수 있었습니다. 세월이 흐를수록 미국대중음악에 대한 끌림이 너무나 심해져서 다른 나라의 노래를 점점 더 듣기가 어려운 시대가 되었습니다. 러시아와 동유럽의 노래는 정말 거의 불가능에 가깝게 되었습니다.

초등학교 2학년때로 기억합니다. 60년대말이지요. 그때 경상도 산골의 우리집에서 외부세계에 연결된 것은 오직 트랜지스터 라디오 한대 였습니다. 그곳에서 흘러나오는 것으로 세상을 상상하고는 했지요.지지직 거리는 트랜지스터 라디오를 통해서 그렇게 씬케티의 논놀레타를 알게 되었습니다. 어린 소년이 영어도 이탈리아어를 알리 없었지만 오직 음악만이 소년의 가슴을 울렁이게 했습니다.

Until today, I didn't know that Udo is the original singer of this song. I only got the information about this song as 'Walk Away' sung by Matt Monro. I always enjoyed this song by Matt Monro, but from now on I can enjoy Udo's singing too. Danke Udo! ^^

About point 1, the song actually follows the popular I-VI-IV-V pop chord progression, used in tons of songs of that time and still used a lot. Your point still stands, as it's a very simple and very used approach. About point 8., the songs in that edition with the highest vocal range are Denmark's, Portugal's and herself's, with a range of an octave + a fourth (11th). Can't argue about the rest, though!
