I don't really get the function of the spring thing on the top of the rotor hold down plate ? That washer you put under the rotor hold down nut goes underneath on top of part 808 ratchet, at least on Z55s looking at schmatic.

It made sense to remove the name “Stradic” from the new range. They are used for completely different purposes. Stradic is power and reliability. Vanford is finesse and fun. I own both but the Stradic is the superior reel.

I have found two different types of the Shimano FX in black and gold and one in silver blue and crime. Both with Aroglass rods different is ⁉️ both the same amount of bearings and drag washer's the same ⁉️ i got the silver blue one from Sportsman's where house for $28 very happy with it is a bass killer.

Most reels have a switch on the front that you can turn on which makes you able to reverse the reel. That feature is rarely and I have never needed to use it

@LanixFishingChannel Awesome, I went with a BG 6500 paired with an Ecooda Black Expert II slow jigging rod. Hopefully, that combo will work nice!
