Let me add ma Bro to temporarily remove key without removing the whole thing is to go to the fuse area and pull the fuse 2 fuse which is easy to pull they are together hold by this yellow thing it's 10/15 fuses I think together pull them a little to disconnect not totally pull out then you be able to remove the key, But it's only to remove key but not fix. 😅

One reason I like to drive manual is less sensor.

Classic cp4 pump. Even the new ram trucks are going back to cp3 with a recall. Just sucks with how expensive this is. I do know there is a metering bypass kit which in a scenario where your pump fails it will not send metal to your injectors. All that would need to be replaced is your hpfp and clean the fuel tank out. Unless you get a kit where it has a fuel filter before and after the hpfp.

I just worked on one of these and something was keeping the gear shifter from allowing the sensor to close. I looked at it before I took it apart to see how it operates and there was a big gap between the two metal pieces on the sensor. I took the gear shifter off and put it back together and the gap was closed. I think there might have been something stuck somewhere in there keeping the sensor from closing.

Might as well replace them all .

201 Hyundai Sonata- Thank you so much for this. You made lifting the gear shift straight up look so simple. I had to plant my feet on the drivers chair and pull straight up 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I tested it out and my key came out while everything was apart. I used your method of putting the car in R on N to put things back together. However, once I put everything back together the key remained stuck in the ignition. I had to take everything back apart and I put everything back while it was in P this time.

I did this same thing today ! Worked awesome ! That oil pump gear is a 17mm 6 point but it’s reversed thread ! I had to use a big impact and hold the gear with channel locks
