Good night, I make a query in relation to pentaho, spoon. I have a transformation that has an 'Input to Table' step where I add an alias to a table field. eg select id as dim_pais_id from dim_paises The transformation runs correctly in spoon V9.0. Then, when going to production, on the Pentaho server, when executing the transformation, an error is generated since when performing the insert it says that dim_pais_id cannot find the dim_pais_id field. Verify in the 'Entry to Table' step that the select is made, when executing preview it is not recognizing aliases, the field is displayed as id instead of dim_pais_id(alias). (Pentaho Server Version 8). Is there a variable that I need to parameterize for the field alias to work? Could you help me to solve the error? Thank you so much Andrea

Hi Naresh How can we improve performance of the read and writes using Spoon, I have 8M records that i want to write from oracle on-prem to oracle RDS. Currently it takes 8hrs and fails post this with "snapshot too old" error.

If something wrong in the connection details then you will get the error. Pls check the connection details once again

Hi Naresh. Does Pentaho support Continues Data Capture. For example : As if new data gets inserted to source table does it gets sinked with destination table ?

Hi Deepak. There are haddop components with we can implement hadoop funcionality as well Spark. Honestly I didn't work on them with PDI. refere this help.hitachivantara.com/Documentation/Pentaho/8.2/Data/Hadoop For your use case, I worked on another tool called Ascend.io it is also based on spark/hadoop. The pipeline on Ascend are like, if the data is available on source it will be transferred to destination. I hope this is your usecase. www.ascend.io/

@@nareshvadla434 That's pretty cool. May have to check that out later. Thank you, sir! Do you know if you can cycle through all tables in a source database to dump data into the destination database? The destination database tables are the exact same in terms of data type compatibility and names, just empty of data. There are over 1000 tables and I'm super not thrilled with doing each one one-by-one. Thanks, again!

It is very hard to get the complete cource online. There is very liitle resources available on the internet fpr pentaho. I have faced the same issue in my intial days. That is why i have started this channel to help guys like you. But i am finding very hard time to upload new videos.
