This game is so well designed as a horror game. Less jumpscares and more atmosphere. And as it's not supposed to be a hard game (it's about horror after all), it's rather accessible. Some other games might have difficult action sections or be very long, which can make them hard to finish.
@Razardos2 ай бұрын
It really is. Both well designed and very atmospheric - it's incredibly easy to get immersed in. Sounds like, from what you're saying, it won't be terribly long which I definitely see as a positive. Not only for the reasons you gave, but also because the longer a (horror) game is the more used you get to it, and the less effective its scares will be.

Oh yah, Winter 1998 release! The "good old days" when more people than not still had dial up and hefty phone bills thanks to it, and LAN parties were commonplace. I remember half watching my friends trying to play BG at a LAN (while I was happily playing Link's Awakening for the umpteenth time) and they spent 2 or 3 hours getting perfect stat rolls for everyone. Then right after launching the game the host crashed, so they all got booted, and none of it was saved. Lots of angry teen boys in that kitchen that day =P

Now I haven't played that many LucasArts games - FT, the third Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle and very little of The Dig (which I intend to play at some point) - but the voice acting has always been superb, I feel. FT fore sure didn't need a remaster. While sure, it's nice seeing things in a little bit higher resolution, and the sound is generally louder/clearer, Throttle holds up very well today.
@Novastar.SaberCombat Жыл бұрын
@@Razardos "The Dig" is worth playing for its innovative music alone. It may have been the very first game which implemented "blending or seamlessly crossfading one track into the next based on where the player's character is standing " ever. I'm not totally certain it was the first to do this, but I'm pretty sure. 🙂 Also, I actually believe that it was Robert Patrick's best performance (outside of his physical one as the T1k).

HI! Very good video, like always! The screaming you hear while gathering the big sister suit could very possibly be Sinclair's during the torture. The splicers in persephone don't attack the little sisters because they are part of Lamb's cult and the lil sisters are tecnically working under her, so they have no reason to ayyack them. If you remember even during the previous levels you could sometime find a ritual going on where splicers would honor a little sister with a body. (The blue and butterfly themed vents). And Sophia WAS preparing something! your face when she started gloating was very funny. You sadly missed the reveal through the window. Anyway, it's interesting that both Eleanor ans Sinclair describe you as a knight in shining armor. And i'm very happy to see that you ended up caring for dear Augustus by the end. Sadly he is, as you could say, doomed by the narrative. Have a wonderful day!

He might've done some questionable things, and had a lot of shady dealings, but he did come through in the end when it mattered, and he did take the right side from the get go, even if I was suspicious for a long time. I kept hearing things about, and from, him through audio logs, but it kinda clashed with how he interacted with Delta. I think it's a nice way to show a little of the duality of man.
@olierollykirkland9687 Жыл бұрын
@@Razardos The thing about Sinclair, for me, is that while he is a scummy buissness man all of his cons worked usually on people that were trying to cheat him too (the syringe making man for one). Still no saint but in Rapture everyone was kinda there to look after themselves alone. He still was no Fontaine or Lamb. The worst thing he did was rent out inmates from Persephone for the adam testing. But the people were sent there by order of Ryan. Still my favourite character in all of Bioshock.
