Coltaine is my fevorite character of all time out of every book that i have ever read its crazy how good erikson is that we don't even get his prospective in the book its just observing him through the eyes of someone else yet I never felt overwhelming emotions, goosebumps tears and what have you while reading his story what a character almost a God yet still human was the feel I got from him.

Kilmindaros didn’t create the tiste, she’s the Azathanai progenitor of the forkrul assail. Only Azathanai connected with the andii is draconus. Liosan is Triss. Edur - TBD.

Please, redraft your scripts. You mention how to become an ascendant like four seperate times and the answer is always the same, and you mentioned that being an ascendat gives unimaginable powers like seventeen times. Redundant and dragged out.

Underrated in that it's relatively unknown amongst the masses, yes. However I feel like everyone who has actually read Malazan all the way through can agree that it's one of the greatest fantasy series of all time and belongs up there in the higher echelons with Lord of the Rings and A Song of Ice and Fire. No other series matches it in scale, though personally I think that's one of the things that keeps a lot of potential readers away. I know the first time I tried to read Gardens of the Moon it took me like 4 attempts before I got through it as I would find myself constantly confused due to Erikson's love of throwing the reader right into the middle of the chaos with little explanation, but after I learned to live with not knowing and to trust the books to explain it all later on I became hooked.

Twist is the emperor didn't stop from becoming the dark king him being on the throne is what made him the dark king and once he leaves the throne he will be in his final form and all his loyal sons and the sons of chaos will join together to kill their father

While the empoeror manage to stop himself from becoming the dark king it is still destined to happen & technically any human with certain requirements can become the dark king.

Long story short, dwarves defeated elves because they thought the dark elf raids on them were the high elves but after the war of the beard the great catastrophe happened which damageded many of their holds, leaving them vulnerable to attacks from orks and skaven

Deadhouse Gates, but the overall series is known as Malazan Book of the Fallen. First book in the series is called Gardens of the Moon. It can be a hard series to get into as the author loves to throw you straight into the mix with little explanation and he leaves it to the reader to piece everything together as the story goes, but holy shit it's one of the greatest fantasy series of all time once you get into it.

I'm on my second time through right now. Just got to Malaz City with Kalam so I'm almost to the end. I remember my first time through was an incredible read. Such a long and thrilling journey for Coltaines Chain of Dogs and Fiddlers group on the Path of Hands or Felisin, Heboric and Baudin . So many insane moments and then that ending that rips your heart out... Even after finishing the series, this book is still the goat.
