It is funny how a person can be the love of your life but also abusive. Having had the same situation in my life I can understand it but when you say it out loud it sounds crazy. I eventually left the abusive situation I was in but throughout my whole life that person remains the most important relationship I ever had. Maybe it was because it involved unresolved issues, the particular time in my life, or because the relationship lasted more than 10 years, has something to do with it, but I do feel the deepest connection to that person above any other. Wasn't even my first love heartbreak relationship, which can tend to be pretty intense and the feeling that you are going to die from the heartache when it ends. And there have been a few that really hurt when they ended but still that particular person stands out among the rest.
