I’m 5’2”. Almost all pants run long on me. Just bought a sewing machine to fix my clothing. Found you channel to learn some technique and enjoy watching all your creative ideas. Hopefully you will come back one day. ❤

Wonderful ideas and fixes! Do you do any clothes where they are too small and you need to add fabric? I am a larger size and it is embarrassing but I have clothes I 2nd hand bought, some given to me where they are just too small, some by a little, some by a lot. Pants, jeans and tops I have many clothes that need fixing.. I also have fibromyalgia where I can't stand tight clothes, I feel confined and a lot of the time it hurt, even though the clothes aren't that tight, it's a nightmare for people like myself. If I may add a simple idea, I was thinking the left over cloth of the last dress could it be possible to make a sash around the waist to make a bow or flower? I was just thinking that too would look cute. :)

You got some great things! I’m always in awe of how Beepworld here on YT has styled see through tops and dresses - she has a similar vintage nightgown too

When you buy buttons that don't have a shank you can learn to make a shank from the thread when you are attaching the buttons. It will stop the fabric being damaged when you are handling the buttons.

You have shared so much information and so much encouragement. Thank you for everything. God bless you and your family in the future.

If you're worried about knotted thread coming through your fabric, try a little dot of Fray-Check. It dries clear on most fabrics (do a test on an inside seam or hem), won't wash out and prevents the thread from moving.

I have been sewing for years and can fit a pattern or do all these take in tricks. The problem is I am much older and wider now and really would like some tricks for adding half a size to a size. Keeping side seams straight and centered is easier with dart in than adding gores

You could make a headband with the excess 7inch fabric to go with the dress. Great inspiration for a beginner. ❤

Finally a thrift flip were things are actually sewed nicely 😭 I always see girls just cutting stuff up and leaving the seams raw or making wonky hems
