I first saw Steve Howe play with Yes in the Boston Garden in May 1979. He is unfortunately, the most overlooked, underrated guitarist still living today. His talent is head and shoulders above so many others who have risen to fame.

As an adolescent I bought the GTR album which includes "Sketches in the Sun" as one of its tracks. I found it a nice little interlude, presuming it was a guitar duet with Steve Hackett. A few weeks later I saw GTR in concert and saw Steve Howe perform "Sketches" solo! Wow! All I remember was standing there in disbelief as Howe played away. Now, many years later, and having learned to play guitar myself, Steve Howe never ceases to blow my mind.

Poor old Benoit doesn't quite make the grade in this performance, shame really. Jon Davidson seems to have the voice but the stage presence of a sack of spuds!

Nobody was like Chris Squire. His tone, his picking, his phrasing... that Rick unique sound... we can debate who is the best ever, but no one was like he was. He's been my rock idol since 1971. RIP - I hope you're jamming in Heaven with Jimi and the rest of the retired.

I liked this lineup. Jon Anderson, frankly, was unable to tour on their aggressive schedule, and as Howe put it, his new songs weren't exactly current, so I thought Benoit was a great replacement. He had a lot of energy and an aggressiveness that Jon Davison lacks. And I'd been listening to Mr. Squire (and the band) since 1971. Someone (I think it was Rick Wakeman) said YES would evolve, like a symphony orchestra and eventually replace all its members, but keep going. They chose not to - Alan White should have retired 25 years ago, and even now, he can't play a whole show. It is what it is, but I don't care for the latest version. RIP, Chris. You were my rock idol for over 40 years. I hope you're playing with Hendrix and the others in Heaven.

Hard to believe there's only two comments. Rest in peace Chris the fish squier. I remember your thunderous bass shaking the whole garden. No one ever like you Chris. You are top shelf. You're gone yes but never never forgotten. 🌊🌊🌊

Aunque antes de meterse de lleno en el rock, Howe se hizo de un nombre como guitarrista clásico y de jazz.
