Pretty dynamic game, a lot of stuff going on on the screen. Nice graphics also.

Gauntlet much more expanded. I never played this game and i love c64 (still have one). AVGN will say that - color palette still looks like dihareaa :P

@finnishretroguy99529 күн бұрын
Oh yes, you are right! There is clearly some "Commando" here as well. Earlier I have seen the Rambo and Gauntlet sides of this.

Simple 2D games are what the C64 excelled it! Managed to get to level 13 or 14 back in the day. Not sure what happens beyond that?
@fradd18222 күн бұрын
I would say its pretty accurate to original, except for the boss ship at the end, which is completely different.

This looks like a mostly fun game, but the knife fight seems like it could go on forever, even without the fact that it goes on for NINE “INNINGS”!

I remember this game. Tapanimäki initially developed it for a programming competition, taking care of all aspects except the music. Interesting game, with nice colorful graphics and music with good appeal.

What do you mean by POKES ? This is a basic program with DATA statements in Hex within a poke loop? Seriously?
@finnishretroguy9952Ай бұрын
Yes, seriously. In this case the POKE on the video allows you to carry several packages instead of just one (which makes the game very tough).

For non-finnish people: The father shouts "Poika!" (Son!) every time he is crashing with a bird, fooling around with the maid, accidentally painting his father or picking a wrong paint for the job. For the original commercials search for "tikkurila poika mainos".

Oh I played the biplane one a lot also the one with the spaceman who collects gold on various planets jumping and teleporting here and there. There were a lot of similar games Moon Buggy, Moon Patrol. I've played a lot of Scramble, Penetrator type gamesm but I cannot name that one maybe Scramble64? I'm really want to know what is the name of that game with the rolling robot who switches the ways of the nodes, seems interesting.

Without a doubt, my absolute favorite game on the commodore 64 is Boulder Dash My dad got to come at her 64 for his college work at Moody Bible institute, still has it today and it plays like a dream. Wish to God. They port the original Boulder dash on to steam.
