He was the SiHing of Leung when they both learned Wing Chun under Leung Sheung, for some reason, T was kicked out of the training . T opened his own school. But T was no good in chisao ,so T invited and employed C to be the assistant instrctor to face any possible intrutor in order to keep the school running! In such period T was not accepted by The HK wing Chung Association untill after the death of Leung Sheung. During the transitional period, T paid an amount of money to Yip Man to show him the uncompleted parts of Wing Chun Kungfu. So people can see the early performance shows of T in public were louse and laughable ones!

It always amazes me that despite all the negative comments that GGM Leung Ting gets about being a fake and a fraud… there are still countless WT organizations that still use his teaching programs and grading system and of course, his uniform. My comment is not meant in a negative way but to reinforce the fact that despite the negative comments, the man must have done something good for the evolution of WT (Wing Chun)

Makes me wonder why after all those years of being in the IWTA and training under GGM Leung Ting, why he left and formed his own association?

Depends on the kung fu and how you learn it. Knowing how to fight and knowing forms are 2 different things.

City Wing Tsun is a phenomenal school. SiFu Alex Richter is a Keith Kernspecht and has studied for years under Leung Ting and others. One of his students has also opened a school in Brooklyn. The dude is fluent in Cantonese as well and studies with masters of other styles. Sounds like I'm selling it, but I have studied under him and was always impressed by his deep knowledge of WT.

What is it about wing chun that with the millions of wing chun practitioners around the world there is not one video of a wing chun fighter using wing chun techniques in a real fight a UFC match or any kind of fighting. You find chi sao champions,Thousands of grand masters who all had (key word here had)100 of fights that no one saw,When challenged to a fight they give a million reason why they cant fight. And still year after year dumb westerners fall for the same crap in hope that thease con artist can turn them into Bruce Lee.Ps Bruce Lee found out it was all Bs when he went up agaisnt real fighters in America thats why he turn to good old western boxing.

ok well don't offer to fight him. Run up and fight him. To be honest if you offer to fight me I would turn it down as well. Any sane person would, but if it happen then I must adapt. Find one of these practitioners and start a fight. Video it. you win post it. you get your ash kicked..... Post it

There was a guy who used trapping elbows a lot in UFC and he credited it towards the wing chun style. The Chinese boxing is similar to western boxing just with kicks just like western kickboxing. it's just like anything else it's about the Indian not the arrow. It's never the style, Bruce learned tons of styles including fencing and even a little wrestling and implemented it in JKD. he said no style is the best style, because no one approaches or fights the same. Can't have all these ideas in your head if someone just beats you to the punch. This is well known with anyone who actually does fight, doesn't matter what you know. It's can you apply it to work? I've taken JKD and it made my striking and reaction time a lot more refined, but I also wasn't doing "soft" drills like this. I don't personally like these soft drills it really makes all the new people like you said gullible to think you can fight "soft" all the time and I can assure that is not the case.. there is no rules in street fighting someone is going to try and knock you out with a fist or weapon if they are loosing. I definitely know where you're coming from because boxing in the west doesn't do soft drills and that is the major difference. Most fights go to the ground anyway about 80% do. How do I know that? Been there enough times and knowing how to grapple and strike on the ground doesn't change and that's when keeping your core tight is key on the ground. That's why most people are studying jiu jitsu because most guys that do boxing or "traditional" kung fu once they are on the ground they have serious problems. Seen it plenty of times in real situations and sparring situations.
