To save some time, I have wire mesh that I have bent into a chute that’s about 5 feet long at the end of the chute is my large bucket . In theory the rock roll into the bucket and the soil falls through the mesh…. Works ok apart for small roots and weeds.

Thank you so much for your video. I just did one coat of gel stain using sponge brush on my stairs and it looks horrible. The stain is heavy and uneven. I need to strip it off. By watching some other videos, it seems so easy so I decided to DIY.

They are absolutely beautiful. I've been trying to figure out ideas for a walkway and patio expansion, and have preexisting pavers, and just purchased some concrete molds. I think I'm going to send the molds back and try this instead. Much more natural and beautiful looking. Plus, I'll get to play more with texture and design! Thank you for this. ❤

Thanks so much, just had my desk lamp switch die on me. Off to the hardware store. The Underwriters knot was especially helpful. By the way, love uour interior decoration, very tasteful!

I am going to do this!!! Under our deck which in a Walk Out Basement Ranch--the 'Deck' is off the 'Second Floor' when seen from back yard. The deck downstairs outside out family room downstairs has a tiny tiny little square of concrete. Gonna add stones all around it! Wish me luck!

Put plastic on top of the dirt and the rocks on top of the plastic, and when needed use a blower to blow away whatever debris that is among the rocks. Nice invention, but way too much work..

We live in a relatively posh village (found an old house in need of work)...everybody here pays for their garden, driveways, landscaping, cleaning...I'm yet to overcome the 'scenic panic' of my posh neighbours seeing me do DIY through their windows :)

I really appreciate the information I received when I watched your video to fix a lamp. You let me onownthat not all lamps have two screws. I was perplexed and ready to give up before seeing your video. Now, I am ready to see if I can fix my lamps that have just been sitting on the tables in the living room. Thanks.

What a great idea. We have a dirt base but yours looks like its a semi hard gravelly base would you reccomend a more sturdy base?

Been there done that. I have a very similar foyer with cased openings on either side of the entrance but I had to deal with spraying 10" high crown molding/cornice and painting the ceiling. I had to build an elaborate scaffold with various ladders and platforms. I was so scared of falling off or a structural collapse but in the end it came out really well. If I ever decide to repaint, I'll hire a contractor.

I've been putting off staining my maple staircase handrail for 24 years now. I could shoot myself for not staining it before it was installed by the trim carpenters but I did paint all of the balusters and newel post prior to installation. I might tackle it this year but I'm so paranoid of staining around carpet and walls. I will take all precautions and hang plastic sheeting over everything. I'll have to try to reproduce the same stain mixture I used on the stair treads and use a pre-stain conditioner to avoid blotchiness. I pray I have as much patience and success as you!

I did change up how much tan and gray colorants went into each rock and I also brushed on some of the colorant while it was drying but each stone was so different unfortunately I don't remember specifically this one.
