Ever since I went to rusutsu I've wasted to do Yotei. As I understand one has to be on call for the right weather window. Anyways I imagined the drop to the base of the crater to be longer, I suppose this isn't it, right?

It is super fun! Yeah you totally have to play it by ear and if the weather lines up, you basically go. Yeah the run into the crater isn't very long. Maybe a bit over 500 vert.

looks so nice. i skied up at sierra today and the powder was probably the best it’s been all year. there was so much pow that me and one of my teammates caused a mini avalanche in avy bowl around the ice rocks
