I have a question. Could I do my restricted test in my Birkenstocks? Or barefoot? Because I have a better feel of the car or is it mandatory to have a pair of shoes on?

Hi, there aren't any specific laws about footwear being mandatory while driving however I would reommend having some footwear on during the tests.

great tips I passed my test but had one error for my following distance too close WHILE IN CRAWLING TRAFFIC, so for anyone out there, distance applies at all times, not sure why i never thort about it while traffic was often at a standstill during my test, but definitely can be an error like it was for me.

When you parallel park can you be a bit back from the car infront then drive forward to closen the gap? Or do I need to parallel park and park close to the car in front without closing the gap to much

was it just me or he did not indicate for at least 3 seconds in most of the intersections.. sometimes he started indicating right at the intersections, so i'm wondering how the traffic behind is supposed to know where he is turning into??

Thanks for the help, you guys are wonderful and the lovely girl is so confident✨ I fail my restricted because I get nervous and have bad anxiety attacks. wish that you could do my test for me as I follow all the rules when I am not being tested but turn to mush and cant even turn my car on in front of the tester. I failed again today 😭

it depends on which test you are going for. In both tests, you may get asked to identify specific controls in your vehicle. In the full test, you may get asked to identify hazards and explain what you are doing about the hazards.

It really depends on the examiner. In most cases should be fine if it’s not >=10 below. My examiner failed me when I was doing my full license, saying “I’d rather you go 54 than 46”. Still shocked with that response.

there is lot construction going on roads near vtnz. GI, make sure to look for the temporary speed signs. my test was a couple of weeks ago, and the guy who went before me had an immediate failure within the first 2 min because he failed to slow down and was going 50 in 30 zone
