People somehow forget that these movies weren't made in the era of OT Star Wars, but in the post-sequels era. Yet, somehow, everybody seems to compare its depth to OTSW(where it fails). For the age Rebel Moon got made in, it the best science fantasy out there.

Sadly we are so used to CGI today that seeing Orlok, nothing "told" you that it was not made with CGI it you get what i mean? And that is so sad when it´s such a great make-up job and performance by Bill but still you kind of just thought they did it digital, at least that´s how i feel now after have seen it. I can´t wait to see it again on Blu-Ray with a lot of behind the scenes and extra material and maybe then i can see it as real not digital.

@EJH-jn6mo The more i think about it and hear Robert Eggers talk about why he looks like he does the more i love his appearance. It would have been a disappointment if he looked liked he does in the 1922 original, Werner Herzogs version, Willem Defoe in Shadow of the Vampire and Doug Jones version in the other Nosferatu that came out 2024. This is more of how Dracula looks in the book, how noblemen in Transylvania look at the time and how Vlad Tepes looked who was the inspiration for Bram Stokers Dracula. I can't wait to see it again and that time the extended version that is coming to Blu-Ray.

@@tetepebNosferatu was the antithesis of Hollywoods Dracula. And we’re talking about the undead. The undead don’t grow cheesy mustaches.
@tetepebКүн бұрын
@@EJH-jn6mo Nosferatu came before Hollywoods Dracula so it had nothing to do with it. F.W Murnau and his scriptwriter wrote a Dracula script but Stokers widow said no so they had to change some things like his look but they wanted to do Dracula and in the novel he looks more like he does in Nosferatu 2024 and Francis Ford Coppolas Dracula then he does in Nosferatu 1922 or Dracula 1932. Also he had the mustache when he became a vampire and

Happy Birthday Genevieve O'Reilly. UR beautiful. I seen Star Wars Ahsoka. That one is very good. It's pretty fuckin' kool. Love it. Not bad. Star Wars The Clone Wars was pretty awesome, and the other shows. Tales of the Jedi, The Mandalorian. Yeah. Star Wars Andor is good, too. Seriously! Me and my older and younger brothers, we seen Star Wars Episode 3. Super awesome. And it was also sad. All of the Jedis r dead. Because of Anakin. He didn't listen to the Jedi Council or Obi-Wan. They lost. They can't give. Rogue One A Star Wars Story. Super awesome. The Death Star. The ultimate weapon. A "Planet killer." Love it. It's great. We enjoy the action. Also: I can't believe they didn't believe in Jyn. They wanted to surrender! Seriously!? Damn. They didn't listen. Jyn was telling the truth, and they didn't believe her. In the end, Jyn and her friends died. They didn't fail. I did their mission. Get the Death Star plans. They did. I believe in Jyn. Still. We watched the whole movies. Including Solo A Star Wars Story. It's incredible. Star Wars movies r all my first favorite movies. All of them. And we seen The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. I love The Matrix. It's part Cyberpunk. Hell, yeah! Enjoy the action. Anyway: U were incredible and amazing. Full respect and support u Genevieve! May the Peace be with u Mon Mothma. From Harlingen Texas. I don’t know where to begin with that reply. Like Eggers I’ve been a fan of Nosferatu since I was a young boy and one of my favorite movies growing up was Werner Herzogs Nosferatu and also the old Salems Lot. Use those as a reference - they are hardly the same thing as the Hollywood versions of Dracula. And please don’t tell me it was based on history or a book. First, he’s a dead corpse so there’s no history to reference and there is also no novel for Nosferatu - it was based on Dracula and Orlock was supposed to be the polar opposite of the Hollywood version. I really like the talent of Eggers and appreciate the movie - it was excellent but that’s my opinion - he was not remotely creepy. You don’t have to agree with it.

This comment is insane. You cannot see any of Bill in Orloks performance. It's incredible and they made so many choices that were new and exciting to thr character. He's evil. He's dead. He's German... the mustache was amazing. Please explain more why you think this way

@@EJH-jn6mo they were used as reference. And were built upon. We have seen the bald vampire many times. It's nothing new or scary. This was creepy and disgusting, and a return to gothic horror. I'm glad Eggers followed his vision, while -- again -- referencing the novel and the historical accuracy
