Your catching process may be good but all is not the same why we go slowly and clearly so that everyone catches it. Btw KZbin gives you a fast forwarding option . You can use that

This should be one of the simplest tutorials on the planet, but nope- off-screen keystrokes and whispering about "selecting all these" vertexes, and so forth ends up making even this impossible to follow after that point. Why do so many on YT do this same thing? The part my man here is leaving out is that after you select edges/click loop, or select the border, you have to hold SHIFT key while scaling inward. otherwise all your sides just converge. I don't get why they keep skipping steps in these videos.

Buy the Script just like everybody else. Get used to buying scripts, software and tools to aid in your everyday work. Locking yourself down to basic features in many 3d programs won't get you far.
