You did an amazing job with this, it’s so raw and real and I think the use of mixed media just makes it even better. Also the end scene where the people were making a shadow heart was cute I hope that means you found someone new who makes you happy :)

wow. down to the last drop of how a breakup feels. the silence of the mundane activity of driving home leading up to the in-bed self pity. The light entering your mind, to me at keast, represents how it feels like to obtain the false hope for a sense of closure by digging into memories and considering your actions with extreme scrutiny Your mind mulls over what once was, what you would give to have it back, and how your mind explodes when you realize not even giving your whole beating heart would work. I agree with that other guy, not a single wasted frame and i cried like a bitch as well lol. Heartbreak is life consuming.

lovely film. Love the simple beauty in this. I grasped a specific feeling in the beginning scenes with the rearview, it gives off the idea of looking into the past and not being able to look anywhere else (been there) Also about the rearview, not sure if it was a conscious decision or not but having such high fps in the scene gives off a sense of """realism""" that is often not so present in most films in 24 fps. It gives me the feeling that this moment is way too real, and that sensation of "this is right now, this happened already" hits very close. Loved the animation and soundtrack and specially the final scene, that almost made tear up a little for a strangers relationship. Little to no words and this and it tells me so much about how you are still feeling. The fact that it is just the shadows of the two of you makes it connect so much better with the animation section of the short film. Anyway, I loved it and i thank youtube for recommending this for me, i adore watching these kinds of short films, specially those that hit close home. Sending you my best wishes, i hope art becomes a way to heal, good luck in your life

This is one of the best short films I've seen on here. It almost felt like if a poem was turned into something visual with no words, if that makes sense...? Either way, awesome job, dude! I hope you can keep making such incredible art, and don't give up!!

It makes perfect sense. I couldn’t find the right words to explain what I was feeling. So, I tried to convey the feeling with the visuals and the music. Thank you for taking the time to comment and watch my film, I appreciate you and your kind words

This kind of filmmaking is a lost art. You know what it means to be a creator, in the most literal sense. What a fantastic four minutes, you expertly told from the first to the last frame. I cried like a little bitch at the end. Not enough praise will be given to this.

why am i crying? this was so like… idek how to put it in words. it’s so incredibly relatable, and i feel like it’s relatable to all kinds of people, not just those struggling with strong mental health issues (like i’m assuming this is referencing). this was 100% deserving of it’s superior rating, and i’m interested in knowing if you were able to bring it to the national level and how it ranked there!
@dirtwaveletterstudios Жыл бұрын
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I never did bring it to a national level because my troupe director and I didn't really understand how it all worked. I might apply it to some film festivals in the future, though! How do you get flipnote 3D?
@dirtwaveletterstudios4 жыл бұрын
To be able to download Flipnote Studio 3D you must have a Nintendo 3DS or 2DS system. Do you have one of those?
@jonnyzlife76334 жыл бұрын
Dirtwaveletter Studios yeah a 2DS
@dirtwaveletterstudios4 жыл бұрын
Okay, so you go to a website called mynintendo.com. Create an account and then click "earn points". Next, scroll down to Nintendo Services which is a silver circle with mushroom on it. You will see challenges or missions for you to complete for points. They are for the most part easy. I did the scavenger hunt ones. After you earn 200 Nintendo service points you go to redeem points. Click on 3DS/WiiU software. Scroll and look for Flipnote Studio 3D. Redeem the points and you should get a code. Now, go to your 2DS and open the eshop. Go to redeem code and then type in the code you received. After that you should be able to download it. I hope this helps. Stay safe and have a nice day!

@OddLocx4 жыл бұрын
Dirtwaveletter Studios Thank you! Basically the way that I upload mine is by saving the flipnote to the SD card that I have in my 2ds. I then put the SD card into my computer and find the video. After that I edit it in a program then upload it. I found a semi decent video detailing how to do it so I hope this helps. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3-wi3WEZrudl6M
