It was a beautifully heart-shaking visit to go see Jack before he moved on. Never forget how much he gave so many. As he stood, and at times was beaten, against competing tides that came to stratify poetry, he remained inclusively true. He did not just give voice to the voiceless, he gave the voiceless a path to become one, each one on their own way home ... if the good lord's willing and the creeks don't rise. he'll see you bye and bye.

Meg Smith has no right to read my fathers poetry. Be it in public out loud, or in silence to herself. Her presence ruined his life and dimmed his intelligence to the point that his bright light was extinguished and he passed away with only her life sucking presence by his side. Its a disgrace that she is allowed to call him her husband still.

I spoke with her once. She was like a clairvoyant. Read my personality immediately. I loved reciting my poetry before her. I knew by her crystal clear reaction. A treasure capture.

I almost brawled with this guy. Buzzed at TTs. Loved his style. He was an original. Every single time he declared his thing.
