What happened?

@@jimmiehack the day of the DC concert Maryland, Virginia and DC were under severe weather warnings because some huge storms were coming through. The storm was expected to arrive when the show was going to start. There was not much communication to concert goers. The Government shutdown early to get because there were hurricane wind warnings, tornado warnings, Thunderstorms with flood watches. A lot of us were hoping the concert would be rescheduled but it was rain or shine like i'm sure they all have been. My family farther north wanted us to just stay at the hotel because they had lost power and the storm really destroyed a lot of Maryland. However the show must have been pushed back. I could not tell much about time once we got to the stadium because we were all stuck in the concourse and we were all soaked through. They were not allowing people to go to seats and I later found out from the news we were held in because it was deemed too unsafe for anyone to be outside in the stadium with the lightning strikes. So we were waiting apparently for the storm to pass. One artist scheduled to preform pulled out earlier in the day and said that Pat Benatar would still open. However with the pushed show Pat did not start until around 8 and Pink came on around 9. And Pat announced to us that the show was going to be going on an abbreviated schedule. it really upsetting to have found out almost all this information by reading the news the next day about the event because nothing was really told to us other then rain or shine does not mean severe weather and that we should keep following the stadium for more information and updates about what they will be doing given the severe weather. There was that first post and then nothing after. My cousin said it best Thank Goodness Pink did an awesome show. When the show ended It was pouring rain and lightning outside we had taken a Lyft to get to the stadium and it took 2 hours to get a Lyft to pick us up just standing on the streets of DC. I definitely won't ever be doing anything like that again. The Lyft driver we had said he only picked us up because our hotel was close to his house and we were his last ride. But he said cars on the roads were fishtailing from the wind and partial flooding on the roads. So Bless him for picking us up but I think that based on the number of people still on the street waiting for Lyfts and the Mobility vehicles that a lady we were with was trying to catch but they would stop and then before she could get to it they would pull away I think a bad call was made to continue with the concert because the pushed concert left us out on the street at 12 am in horrible weather and the stadium immediately shut its doors. We only went because we didn't realize that they were pushing the concert, that there was a second part to the storm and because we bought our tickets resold and they were expensive and we could not afford to just eat them. But lessons learned.
