actually no... it was an illusion spell in effect.... and I should point out that while I 'hate' playing with unpainted minis, I will o occasion stoop to that level. Especially when one of my players brings one along, then leaves it long enough for me to get hacked off and paint it for them.... not looking at anyone in particular...

Almost... Newcastle, just south of the Scottish border, but it's diluted most of the time otherwise the Kiwi's can't understand it (let alone folks online from over in the US... that would be subtitle territory!). As for the idea sharing, you are most certainly welcome!

That green part is only in the picture and it’s supposed to go on the spring part underneath. I bought one and I think I’m going to throw it away because it’s a safety hazard to not have an off switch. I’m not about to get burnt trying this thing. lol. I only paid $4 so I’m not losing much.

LOL, that's what I get for letting the kids assemble something... I certainly hear what you are saying about the off switch, and unclipping to turn it off is a hassle. I've also noted the wood warping underneath where the bottom spring attaches which is effecting the tension. But as you say, it's cheap enough, and at 6 volts only, its not like it's going to electrocute me with the lack of a power switch, and the burn is going to be less than if I slip with my hot wire knife. At least it can do straight cuts which I only do rarely and the knife can't really cope with.

I think the one you are referring to is the Amera civic building? I'm looking forward to that one, their kits come out looking really nice after a bit of decoration and paint!

Fantastic work man! As a forever DM who also likes making big setpiece terrain chunks, I had nearly the exact same issue with warping that you did. Glad to see your piece ended up better off than mine did! Keep up the good work, can't wait to watch the next part.

Nice. One thing though, the UNIT berets in the 70's were light Khaki/beige, the same as SAS berets. In 1989 ( Battlefield ) they were changed to UN blue and only in Nu Who ( the 2005 series onwards ) they became red.

This looks so well made! Stacking pebbles is one thing, but creating balance and flow is something difficult to do!

Nice figure but too delicate for my clumsy hands. I think I would try a piece of wire to reinforce the leg. Or maybe remove leg and conceal wire with cotton wool 'mist'. Just my random thoughts.

You know, I think you may be thinking along the right lines.. if it proves too fragile, I may well replace it with wire (something really stiff like a paper clip?)and coat with milliput to build out the bone. Much prefer a metal core on something that thin, just for peace of mind...

The nylon 'bristly' pipe cleaners are a pain, you want the soft type which is what I would expect for something called chenille - I no longer buy them on line for that reason, the novelty of 'click and pray' has definitely worn off! The soft stuff does matt down nicely, especially if you use 'gum' from the stationers as that shrinks more than PVA. I haven't tried it yet but playing a lighter over the nylon might produce something more useable, or it might just collapse. Fluffy pipe cleaners are also handy for quick and simple tree, I usually use three twisted together with the bits trimmed off the ends used as additional branches. I use teased out nylon pan scrub for the basic foliage, you can improve it by adding some coarse flock (in which case tease the scrub out more).
