@elnathan574 The tabernacle that the Lord commanded Moses to build was to serve as a sanctuary. A place where God himself would interact with his people the Israelites. See Exodus 25:1-8. The David desired to build God a permanent sanctuary or temple in Jerusalem. However he was not authorized to do so. We see his son Solomon commission and complete the construction of the Temple at Jerusalem. See I Kings 5:1-5 and I Kings 8 and 9. Ultimately Isreal sinned against God by not keeping their commitment to God. The Kingdom was separated and went into captivity. Eventually the temple was destroyed by the by the Babylonias. See 2 Kings 25. In the New Testament Jesus encounter with the Samaritan woman, John 4:20-23, we no longer are bound by a specific location to worship. However wherever the members of the Body Christ are is the Church. The Word Church is mentioned 120 times only in the New Testament. It is the ekklesia in Greek, the called. It's first mention is in Matthew 16:18, which states, "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." The Church is established in Acts 2. We see them worshipping in Acts 20:7, which states, "And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight."

Brother, Most all of the Bibles has corrected the word (Church). It says: and the Lord added to their (Number) day by day. Also what Peter Proclaimed was Judgement 15-36,then in 37 then didn't repent,they asked what shall we do! Because they knew what it says in Yoel.Have anyone taught you Yoel? Or have you taught the book? That's important.

Explain why did they need to repent and be baptized? Acts 2:38 stated, "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:41 those who repented were also baptized for the remission of their sins. You can argue with the Word don't argue with me. I am following the Bible not your misinterpretation.

ONE YAH!ONE EMUMAH/FAITH! ONE BAPTISM! ONE FATHER over,In All.ONE.Not two sticks But ONE. LOVE YOU BROTHER there are Strong Condemnations for those who teach the people wrong.matt 5:17-20. The woes to the pharisees and Sadusees.

@@mpcoc I have stated it Already. One Law for Yisrael and the Stranger. The Ten Words that was given on Mt. Sinai, and the 603 Instructions on How to Do them. I know Believe on The Messiah ok.But, Scripture says the Devils do that,and they Tremble. Have we Trembled? Why were they Afraid?Psalms 2 the last verse says Kiss the SON! Less HE be Angry.

@@elnathan574 Thank you for sharing. Have you considered Isaiah 53:1-12. This is the Old Testament speaking of the work the Savior, Jesus Christ, will do inorder to save us from sin. Have you considered Genesis 15:6 which states, "And he believed in the Lord ; and he counted it to him for righteousness." This is speaking of Abraham's faith in God. Faith requires you to obey God. In the New Testament Jesus instructs how we may be saved. Mark 16:15-16 states "[15] And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." On the day of Pentecost we see these instructions carried out by Peter and the rest of the disciples. Acts 2:38,41 states, "[38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. [41] Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls." I am encouraged by you viewing the Bible Study @ Magnolia Park Church of Christ. Jesus told Nicodemus, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." You must be born again.

How do you go away from the Lesson? Verse 2 tells us who had Emunah/Faith.we don't know if she was a believer or not.Can you explain who Enoch was?What about the Hebrew Meaning?

Paul is explaining the faith believers must have since we have the promise. He uses the Old Testament characters as an example of the faith necessary considering they didn't have the promise. Please see Hebrews 11:13,39-40 which states, "[13] These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. [39] And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: [40] God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect." We have the promise and we have faith.
