The Longines Spirit 37mm has the date at the 6 O clock position. This look like the 40mm ?.

It’s unfortunate that I completely dislike your taste, it feels like you picked the best watch that would work with your straps and not the best looking.

Great series, with great watches and if I may say, a great final selection 👏. Without bias and from the WG Formex review, I did purchase a Black Dialled, Formex field watch, about a month ago......and three extra WG Straps. I really do like my 1st watch purchase in a very, very long time!

“It was designed for underwater navigation”. Or maybe for frustrated desk divers needing an outlet for their quiet despair and to feel a sense of worth. We just don’t know.

I wanted a watch with the look of durability and ruggedness, but already have a gshock, hamiltons didn’t vibe with me, and I preferably didn’t want to spend more than an American grand’s worth. Then found these guys, and loved their design language. I’m glad to know that they’re pretty well loved by enthusiasts too. I’ll be snagging one on my next bonus for sure 👍

I really like the brown tint to the silver sunburst dial. That tint seems to be missing on silver sunburst 116200 watches I’ve found online. Should I look for a specific keyword other than silver sunburst to find the exact dial from the video? Or is that brown tint just a reflection of the environment on a regular silver sunburst dial?

No, it is not worth it. Not when so many other companies offer this same esthetics for much less. You want a legit military watch, get a GShock mudmaster, mudman, square 5600, or if you still want the snob approach but with actual military pedigree, Marathon GSAR, which cost as much as this nostalgic cash grab.

Strange take on the dial… especially for someone involved in the watch world. Borderline sexist. I guess it’s good for engagement, but the whole thing seems a bit slimy to me. Phenomenal watch, though.

Ludicrous. Who would pay this with the likes of Hamilton on the market at 1/4 to 1/6 the price of a Vertex?
@boringst32185 күн бұрын
So many ignorant fools in this comments section. Why should a Tudor be more value than a Vertex? Is a Rolex worth twice as much as a Tudor? Is a Seiko Marinemaster worth 10x the value of a “normal” Seiko SKX? Value in the watch world is objectively subjective. Vertex watches are definitely not cheap but they are well worth it to me. I have literally never experienced better costumer service with a watch brand than Vertex. Imagine having a problem with your Tudor, due to an accident where the watch got damaged, and they send you a brand new watch, if you just returned the old damaged one. Trust me Vertex is in a league of their own. Not cheap. If you want a cheap watch buy something else. If you want cheap, low quality food but that. If you want high quality that is better for you, better for the environment, you have to spend a little more. Vertex is the organic, grass fed beef. That costs a little extra.

New mechanical chronograph looks really good. Case design and finish is evolution in good way. 👏🏻 Reminds me a bit of 39mm quartz pioneer series which was amazing! Good luck! 🤞🏻

I used to have the original dirty dozen watch by Lemania. It had much longer minute hand and broad-end hour hand like the Omega shown in the video. Compared to that, the minute hand of Vertex M36 looks too short to my preference. That alone can be a good reason for me to go for other similarly styled watch. I think that hands would make it difficult to tell the time at a glance in the low light condition.

When he says radium super luminova does he mean that its just vintage style lume? Pretty sure the use of radium is illegal and not on this time piece?
@theoldsargesays61762 күн бұрын
"Old Radium" is a lume color. The "Old Radium Superluminova". That said, the watch in the video is neither a Sunray Series nor does it have Old Radium Superluminova. This watch is a Squale-Super Squale Arabic Numerals ref. SUPERBLBL.RLBL .

I love the ww2 aesthetic for field watches. However the specs of the originals were hopeless in terms of water-resistance, shock-proofing, case durability , accuracy etc. However, that doesn't mean I'd happily shell-out 2 grand+ on this watch. I have a Baltany 36mm sub-second, that captures perfectly the aesthetic and cost less than £150 and I'm more than satisfied with it.
