Hello, Sorry to bother you but I'm thinking of buying an amarok, but I hear and read so many negative things about this car that I'm in doubt. I see your videos and you make a offrod use of it, which is the type of usage that I want to make. What is your experience? Many problems? Is this a reliable car? Thanks

In my opinion (I'm not an expert, just basing on some reading and general knowledge) the only downside for offroading for the Amarok is if you get and Automatic version and you'll not be able to have a Low Range feature.

have you had any issues with the traction control suddenly kicking on after exeding a certain speed?

great vehicles aren't they. i also have one. it's a 2011 2l bitdi manuell 163hp original remapped to 220hp. that beast is ripping. just had the timing belt done at 320k and it's still running like new.

Which model is the Amarok? I can see it's a 2 litre but would like to know the precise model as we're thinking of getting one and are trying to decided between a 4 or 6. Thanks. Great videos!

It's a 2018, auto, 4 cylinder with mods including - SCF rock sliders - Safari snorkle - Diff breathers - Bash plates including fuel tank and diff guard. The factory bash plate is crap. - Rear bar - Secondary fuel filter - Provent 200 catch can - 265/65/17 Maxxis AT811 RAZR tyres Just ticked over 80,000km and zero issues. Very reliable vehicle.

@@christorok8998 Our son has one of the first ones that came out in 2012. No problems after 10 years (and a bit). He has just had the timing belt replaced and is looking forward to the next 10 years. Great car!
