When bidding a service one must fully explain every detail of what you need to do and why its the best method to accomplish the desired result.you must define the problem,offer solution,describe the benefits of said solution and then you must qualify your company as the best choice ,ask for the order and get the payment

Sure, but it costs $6000 to 9000 for fumigation here in the south so I can imagine the cost in California.

This may be a good preventative for a home with with no termite issues or preliminary sightings or swarms. Nothing is guaranteed. I personally believe its great for the pest company because its easier to put bait stations without doing any spot treatment or trenching... But->> to treat termites, if you have seen swarms, trenching the entire perimeter of the home where available using a product like Termidor or Taurus SC, and then spot treatments inside the wall of the affected area of the house with injection by use of a product like Termidor foam is better than putting bait stations out and hoping they will leave the food in your house to go outside and eat while they may be eating your house?? lol... nip it in the bud.

When a rodent eats the poison, it does not die immediately and can carry around enough poison to kill a larger animal like an owl, Fox, cat or dog, endangering wildlife and pests. Traps do not introduce poison into the food web.
@supaflip87

Rodent bait can kill wildlife and pests through secondary exposure which is a likely scenario. I think this is worth discussing.

We just bought our house 3 years ago (in Florida) and I think we're REALLY screwed, because it appears there have been termites this whole time, potentially. The house itself is block, which I guess is good, but, all the interior walls are normal, plus all the wood holding up the roof. And we definitely have termites, but we just don't know yet the extent. And we just found this out AFTER the house was flooded, and damaged in multiple other ways, by Hurricane Ian. Insurance screwed us, giving us only about 10% of what we should have gotten, only $7,500. I have no idea how we're going to fix this. Anyone seeing this, just please pray for us that we'll just need to fumigate rather than tearing the rest of the house apart, replacing all the ceiling/roof wood. There's no way we could afford that. I need a miracle right now.

Is there a way to apply borates before the build of a home? Wondering out of curiosity since I plan on eventually building my home and it termites was a thought that crossed my mind so wondering if applying for rates in the beginning could perhaps helping prevent it
@Accuratetermitecontrol
@Accuratetermitecontrol Жыл бұрын
Yes. This is actually a fairly common practice in some places. When a new build is in "sticks," borates can be applied to the bare wood to make it more resistant to termites and fungus-rot. The only reason it is not done more frequently in California is that most homes are mass built by large developers and adding borate pre-treats to the homes slows down the building process and adds to costs that developers aren't able to mark-up at the same rate as other more desirable upgrades such as tiles, paint, etc.

I don’t dare to ask but how much? We live in a 20 unit complex. Our HOA is on it but I just wanted to know we are not getting ripped off.
@Accuratetermitecontrol
@Accuratetermitecontrol Жыл бұрын
There are many factors to consider. Price is not based on the number of units. It's based on the total cubic feet your building takes up, which can include subterranean parking. Difficulty and safety considerations for working on the roof, foliage that makes creating tight seals, and other factors. A very broad benchmark to at least get you in the ballpark is about $1 - $1.5 per square foot of the total structure.

This poison causes them to die slowly (up to 10 days) and painfully by internal bleeding. The poison is intentionally designed to be slow so that the rodent will come back and eat more and more of it. This way by the time they get sick they've already ingested a lethal dose.

Orange oil is a mild solvent and therefore nothing more than a mild irritant. It's non-carcinogenic and perfectly fine. For example, you wouldn't spray orange juice into your eye as that might sting but that doesn't make it unsafe to drink. This is truly a misleading video. It's like saying to do the same with vinegar... I mean duh, nobody advocates lathering acid on yourself but most people feel comfortable handling vinegar. Also, let's see the Safety Data Sheets for the chemicals being used by this company, for only then can we yield a fair comparison. I suspect that's counterproductive to profits, though. Inhaling practically any vapor in large quantities can be harmful. Orange oil is just that: orange oil. If you're that scared, don't eat or smell an orange ever again. I won't speak to its efficacy on contact treatment for termites, but I can attest to its efficacy as a contact killer for ants. In short this video is clearly done to fearmonger and stir you away from competitors or DIYers, only using loose evidence when convenient for the narrative they set out to claim. Quite clearly disingenuous.

The information in this video comes from the registered label for Orange Oil. Not speculation. The EPA and Department of Pesticide Regulations classify Orange Oil as a pesticide with known toxicity. Orange Oil in pest control is not oil, it's a pesticide. The name is misleading.

@@Accuratetermitecontrol you guys have to clear that up. This video actually makes you look misleading /disreputable. You need to clarify that there is a non organic substance being marketed as "orange oil" that is not actually 100 percent orange oil. People viewing the video are looking for the Actual limonese oil. This is confusing.

No, it's not a mild solvent. It's a pesticide. Not our words the DPR, EPA and SPCB. You'd have to convince all those regulatory agencies and their research that it's a "mild solvent"

Someone answer a question I've thought of for a while. If you spray around the base of your home, what's actually going to kill the termites? I mean they spread by flying in the spring to your house. They don't land on your lawn, they fly onto your walls and then find cracks to enter your home. So what is the point of base spraying your home?
@Accuratetermitecontrol
@Accuratetermitecontrol 2 жыл бұрын
Srpaying around the base of your home is to keep ants, spiders and such away from the house. NOT to control termites. Termite treatments are completely separate from regular perimeter spraying.

Birds and pets or other animals that eat the rodent before it does or after it does will be poisoned. One product they use has an antidote but good luck getting your cat the antidote before it dies. Also endangers beautiful animals owls, foxes and hawks. Use traps and embrace birds of prey as natural pest control.
