Brighton these days is an unholy mix of the super woke posh and aggressive chavs who come down from places like East Croydon to spend a day drinking at the seaside (I suspect that guy who told you not to record him was one such). For many years it felt like half of the Brighton population were internatioinal EFL students, especially in summer, which gave it a nice vibe, but it seems a lot of the language schools and colleges closed down during the lockdowns and didn't re-open.
@clouddog23932 ай бұрын
Not the place it was in the '60's and '70's but a run down , dirty , neglected pale shadow of what it was like in those two decades . The Woke / Left wing politics of the large student population only adds to it's woes . A shame to see such a lovely town (now city ) decline so drastically and a place l avoid as it's too depressing and sad remembering how it once was and how it is now .
@tonystravelsvlog2 ай бұрын
@clouddog2393 a lot has changed in that time,I still love Brighton and Hove,been going there all my life and never tire of it.

Only been once about 1995 and it was like being on a film set. Coming from a coal mining village up north I hadn't met anyone like the people who live in Brighton. Men wearing lipstick & Nail varnish. Went for a pint and the barman was wearing a leather waistcoat & cap and shorts with big boots. I don't think heavy industry had reached Brighton it was still operating in cottage industries. And everything was expensive.

B-right-on 🌈. He should try walking around some of the estates pointing his silly little camera at people, ACTUAL Brightonians instead of visitors and students, try calling them “idiots” and see how he gets on. Not so “woke” 🏴
