Simple christ said, "if you dont own a sword sell your cloak and buy one." A sword is strictly for self defense. Also brother Christ doesnt want Christians to die for him he wants you to live for him. Otherwise why would he have taken on the death for us.

Really great demonstrations of your skillset. I’m still researching my first Bark River and this was helpful. If you had to have one, would it be the Bushcrafter or your Aurora?

Great video, thank you for posting. I just purchased the Bushcrafter 2 and I’m very happy with it so far. No magnet in the sheath though? I’ll definitely have to try the original or the Gunny next time.

How do you sharpen a scandi grind? Are you able to visually determine the grind just by looking at the knife? I can’t tell

Very good review -- this level of detail is really what is needed for an informed decision, as opposed to a short promotional plug or hype. I wanted a detailed review of the Aurora vs. the Bushcrafter and got that here, I am now leaning towards an Aurora.

handle being thinner towards the blade allows for pinch grips for more controlled cuts/carving slices etc.

It's good the way your thinking, but most people know they have to redo the secondary edge at some point. It's easier to grind ~a mm of metal many times and only have to hit the up to inches (whatever your secondary edge is, usually over a cm anyways) on some knifes once in a blue moon (most people never have to) And your picture was more true to lie than you, no-one can perfectly replicate the convex curve and it does flatten out over many sharpenings (as any part you overgrind will not be so if it became concave/"holow") *I am serious about the comment though, many people subscribe to a sharpening technique and swear by it. People will argue along vs against vs away, but with the understanding you have you get that your just grinding down material.* Well done video, even though I do not support your conclusion I enjoyed it.

Great video, and you went deep than many on this knife. The points are valuable and practical when you handle it in a long trip in the the woods. About the EOD, there is no sign was adopted by the military. Usually it would have a logo or badge on knife or some kinda certifications. It might be designed for the EOD, but the point is did the EDO use it? There is a guy on youtube mentioned the same thing about the 162 EOD version. I also see the point that we confirm Benchmade has the craft and quality, but this one has some space to optimize on the design and the purpose. People say great knife or the best, but some time we mess up the difference between the quality and the design. I am wondering if file the handle or do the re grinding would make you love it?

Hi! I also bought an Aurora in Cru-wear a few years ago, but use it more gently (I have other knives that may handle heavy use better because of the design). Maybe I am a little worried that some people report broke wood handles with batoning. It seems that you have experience working wood with your knives, could you comment on the durability of wood handles on heavy use? Are you confident that the handles won’t brake? Thanks for your video and your answer!😊

Man invented sand paper. You can sit and sand the handle to what you want. You also represented the wrong sheath. That sheath was for a 162. But, the knife you used in it is the 162-1. I have both. If I ever come across another 162-1 I will buy it. Reason being its a discontinued knife. You can still get the 162. My 162-1 Is not what you think. I acid dipped it, jimped it, sanded it and using RIT dye I turned the handle black. My 162-2 sheath I used a Ranger band on it to hold my fire rod. Then a small plastic yet strong horizontal to horizontal kind of D ring. Connected to a what is intended to be a key holder on a belt loop that is the right length. It has my blood type embroidered into it. I was military. When you get equipment study it, learn it, then improve it. I don't own a knife I have not modified in some way. Attention to detail, head on a swivel, ready for the worst.

Hey brother, so you know the BRK Bushcrafter knife. It has a skandivex grind. Now tell me how you TRULY sharpen a convex skandi grind. It is not possible. I'll stick to my flat Skandi. Tell me.differently that you can magically sharpen a convex skandi in CPM3v. No way you are sharpening it effectively.

Hands down the aurora is the better feather stick knife. The bush crafter bites much deeper with the scandi-vex. Bush crafter is the better batoning knife. A gap in a wood handle can be a major problem. I stay clear of any wood handle. It will ever Eventually break or crack its a flaw and should be solidly fixed. I would never baton a knife with a wooden handle. There are stronger more reliable materials. Oh by the way did the bush crafter handles separate even more?
