Great review, Tim. Love the energy. Im wearing a sample today, and pulled the trigger on a FB. I also own the EDT and EDP. Redundant? Yes, perhaps. Unique ? Definitely. (No need to overspay ! And takes a few wearings to fully appreciate) But the EIV goes in another direction, with the geranium rounding out and cooling off the vetiver ) This us a goodun ! Cheers !

I love this fragrance until it gets into the deeper dry-down where that ambroxan or whatever chemical thing every goddamn perfumer uses these days to give longevity comes out too much.

This is my favourite ever fragrance and I discovered it when a guy in my office was wearing it and you could smell it on him all day long...I have yet to find a better fragrance a decade later

I first came across this fragrance on a trip to Cambridge this year; when I wandered in for a browse at their shop. Instantly fell in love and it’s my new favourite fragrance. I find it immensely comforting ❤️

Great review! I received a sample of Oud Save the King from Harrods London and immediately ordered an entire bottle. Creamy, leathery suede with a beautifully blended oud and a hint of powdery sweetness. A real head turner! 🖤

Excellent review - out of interest, you name a lot of notes that aren't listed in the 'published' pyramid (and I agree with you on the obvious like the lavender!). What about the orris etc though - is that interpretation, or do you have some insider info...?

I'd have to say that I'd be torn between the Blessed Baraka and the Oud For Greatness, with the Oud for Greatness just edging it on the day. Having said that, it depends on whether the day is an Oud day or an Amber day. Those two are my favourites though! 😃

@@FragRantReviews love both of those as well! Additive Vibrations, and High Frequency also! Though I've been absolutely smitten by Musk Therapy lately. I don't know why... Its pretty basic and usually i like more complexity nowadays in my fragrances.....its only citrus, floral and clean musk. For whatever reason, I gravitate towards it massively in warmer weather, or going to the gym. Radiates nicely when I get a little sweaty. Not really a projector but lasts all day.👍

For me the OG (in first formulation) is still the goat million. Such a good fragrance !!

Hi Stieven, you are right, the original was and still is an excellent fragrance. It was in my collection when it first came out, but either my skin chemistry changed or the later formulation didn't sit well on my skin. One of the two or perhaps both. I think that's why I'm enjoying the Elixir so much, I get a chance to get some of the original fragrance DNA but it sits better on me. 😃

I very much like the EDT. The blood orange for me is the one that makes it more familiar. This one does seem to make a bit of an update to the OG.

On the subject of blood orange notes, I'm hearing some very good things about the new Mont Blanc Legend Red, but I've not had the chance to get my nose on it yet. 😀

How synchronistic! My sotd. Wasn't too impressed the first time I tried it, but once I started layering it with other grapefruit scents, it became a winner.

Grapefruit is another of my favourite notes, more so since my morning grapefruit juice got banned as it apparently stops one of my meds from working. If they try taking my espresso away there could be a revolution! 😀

Hi, the Elixir is a more intimate scent, it's not meant to project so far, but the sillage, the scent trail, is much longer than you would expect it to be from the projection. It projects further the longer you wear it. The longevity is excellent, I got a good 12-14 hours on my skin and much longer on clothing. I would recommend getting a sample and trying it on your skin as we are all different and fragrance will vary from person to person. As I say on my skin, the projection was good, the sillage was good to very good and the longevity was excellent. Hope this helps?😀 Tim
