In one of your videos, "How to Play like Polyphia", you showcased the riff [ 0:12 - 0:26 ]. It became one of my favourite riffs. Finally got a full version...

@@JackRollinsonMusic Damn man! They absolutely slap. Would love to see more videos on that approach, plugins, vsts, sounds and producing etc.

@@jdoxpears Thank you bro. I do a lot more producing these days and have thought about maybe posting up some session breakdowns. Might be a bit of a change for the channel though
@jdoxpears2 ай бұрын
@@JackRollinsonMusic could be worthwhile as I can tell you now alot of us out here have polyphia style riffs but we have no idea how to make the tracks to put them to so you could make that one magic video that everyone references haha! I'd just love to see choice of vsts, programs, kits and other plugins that go into it.

Thanks for the video, do you know which mix of scales Tim or polyphia play? sounds like a mix of Lydian + melodic minor/dorian to me

I've been screwing around to get a pop punk tone and found this eq setting to work well for humbuckers (for me atleast) Treble boost, cut the mids and a heavy cut on the bass. Considering how full the sound of a humbucker is, i feel like this is the way to go.

Question: during lead playing, what harmony intervals do Scott and Tim use. 3rd intervals in most songs?

Super good, the only thing id do to make it more Polyphia like would be to add some tension into those chords (ie suspensions and minor chords) but this sounds awesome dude

I did it. I had a 2017 prs custom 24 10 top. It looked great, i returned it and got lucky buyingba 2017 jp15 in teal green. This plays and sounds better than anything ive owned or played. Stainless steel frets as well. Omg you can get any tone. Your demo helped me gobfir it . not a scteatch on it. 2300$
