I don't believe women should be silent in church, but women should only preach to other women or children. Women should not be preachers or pastors of the whole church. When I hear women preaching It doesn't feel right to me. I will even scroll past women preaching on TikTok

It's pretty simple. Women should be silent in church. It's not taken out of context to interpret it exactly as it says. If a wife is to be submission to her husband in all things how can a woman then be in leadership and have everyone in submission to her? A husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. This is a matter of God ordained hierarchy. Christianity is patriarchal.

the word Diakonos is also translated as servant in Matthew 20:26 "Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,(διάκονος)" and Mark 9:35 "Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant(διάκονος) of all.” and twice in Romans 12:7 with different cases "if service(διακονίαν), in our serving(διακονίᾳ); the one who teaches, in his teaching" in other places (Acts 1:17, Acts 1:25, Acts 6:4) it's translated as ministry, the term is rarely connected to teaching and exhortation but rather to serving and ministering to people. thanks for this message! My husband and I just came across this channel a couple weeks ago. (All the way from Canada 🇨🇦) we really enjoyed your messages on Twisted Scripture. I came across this story in the Bible a few months ago.(somehow I don’t think I’d ever read it before!) The word “threshold” popped out at me. I started looking into it. It’s fascinating to see how that word is woven throughout the Bible. The threshold was the place where people would make sacrifices to the idols in their homes. Common in Egypt so Israelites would have been familiar with it. From what I’ve see ,the word threshold can also be translated as “crossbeam” Interesting the parallel in the New Testament. Jesus sacrificed on a “crossbeam” (hands on a threshold?) and his body (the 12 desciples sent out to all the tribes?) this being the best thing to happen to Israel. I could probably spend a whole year looking into all the meanings of “threshold” in the Bible! Sorry to be rambling 😉

I am a woman and found it strange but read the entire 1Corinthian and I understood why it is written like that. Although it could be easily offend / trigger a lot of prideful women. The reason why it is written that woman should be silent and ask husband at home is husband is your head. Husband’s head is God himself. 1 Cor 11:3. I am a Japanese woman who lived in Australia for 20 years. I can tell you, the amount of PRIDE and DOMINANCE women have over their husband is disgraceful. My culture is quite submissive to our husband : who is the head of our household. We are willingly submissive to our husband specially in public so that we do not shame him. Men’s head is God himself. I am in my mid 40 and understand our culture at last. And if this church read the 1 Corinthian, why is she not wearing head covering? 1Cor 11:5, 9, 13. I don’t think We can take part of words and ignore the other.

Great Message! I got attacked by many men for preaching the word of God.. Under my roof in my house in a bible study he yelled at me stating that I cannot speak. He also poisoned the minds of ALL MALES who were there. One even agreed to silence his wife in the next meeting to show me how to behave. Whoever they manage to poison, it happens because they are NOT STABLE. these are STUMBLING BLOCK SCRIPTURES WHICH GOD ALLOWS TO TEST THEM.

Twisting scripture, you got that right, but the question is who is twisting the scripture. Looks like Egalitarian interpretation. So sad to be a witness to.

The overall interpretation shared in this video is correct but I would caution one thing though - in regards to authority in marriage Paul says in 1 Corinthians 11 that "the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God". This is God's divine order. Modern day culture is completely antithetical to this because worldly, unbiblical thinking encourages rebellion and moral anarchy while simultaneously falsely accuses God's divine order as an absolutist oppressive authoritarianism. It's actually the opposite - submitting to God's divine order via His divine authority brings freedom whereas rebelling against it ALWAYS enslaves the rebel. God's divine order in His divine authority has everything to do with covenant partnership and nothing to do with manipulation, control and oppression. But one of the ways I've seen this rebellion creep into the Church in marriages over the past 42 yrs I've known the Lord, is when a wife rebels against God's divine order by undermining her husband's authority under the false pretense of "agreement"; i.e. "well, if we can't agree on this we can't move forward". What she's really saying is "I don't want to do this so I'm going to get MY way and what I want under the false pretense of unity and agreement". The reality here is that this is BINARY - it's either her decision or it's her husband's decision. So unless the decision her husband is making is blatantly sinful / unbiblical, a wife must go with her husband's final decision. Now, if a woman can clearly discern that her husband's decision is not the correct one, it still DOES NOT justify her rebelling against it. She is to submit to him trusting that God will correct her husband. A lot of women don't want to hear this but this is quite simply another area of teaching and doctrine we need not shy away from because of the peer pressure the world puts on us.

I've joined the Baptist Church recently and that's definitely a switch up from the non-denominational background I was in as a child. But they have some beautiful qualities like being very bold about current issues and standing firm and the truth of God in a crumbling world in society talking about the realities of what we're facing in a way that makes us more prepared for what's to come. But then there's these weird still compartmentalized issues like this one of the women speaking in churches. Seems like one of the ones that most originally made my heart begin to grow hard in the beginning. I always knew there was something wrong with it, could never quite place my finger on it completely but a new one day the Lord would reveal it to me. I'm so grateful I ran across your video, it wasn't by accident, praise the Lord. I've never heard such a thorough explanation for what's going on here and even more pleased to know I had about half of it right already. I knew he was addressing these churches in a customized style. If we were intended to follow all of them to a tea today and apply every letter to ourselves, the memo would have been the same for every Church. It just seems so bizarre as well to be so specific about how from all of these scriptures, such major conclusions have been drawn for how women who are married with children should behave in and outside of church, but they drew no conclusions for how single women should act inside and outside of church. Some instruction... You know leaving out that whole 50% subgroup of women that don't have husbands or kids and have been single for a long time... We want to please the Lord too...
